About this property

Historic raised Tybee cottage, very cool, comfortable and oh so Tybee!

Situated on a quiet residential street just a short walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping, with all the feel of a lay-back beach house. There is a screened porch along the front and a great deck complete with palm trees in back. Many of the original details are still there, bead board walls, pine floors, even a claw foot tub. The kitchen is updated and very easy to work in. There are two bedrooms, one with a king and a twin and one with a queen. The fenced in backyard makes it an easy house for children or pets. There is off street parking and lots of room for bicycles and beach toys

With the ocean only a short walk away, its a great home to bring your beach toys, kayaks, fishing gear or just relax with a good book. Tybee Island offers many options for great beach fun.

The Lighthouse is a must along with the Ft. Screvens Museum and the Tybee Marine Science Center. The Tybee post Theatre is a good option for an evening of movies or live performances. The library and YMCA as well as the picnic park and playground are just a short walk away. You can go for a beach walk, check out the dolphins or sea turtles, go fishing off the big Atlantic pier or move around the corner to the back river pier. Kayaks, bicycles, golf carts and surf boards are all available for rent or bring your own. Enjoy Yoga on the beach or maybe set up and paint the wonderful scenes.

This is a great small home for an intimate get away for 2 or a friends and family vacation for up to 5. Come enjoy our Palm Trees and Island Breeze Cottage on Tybee!!

Great time in Tyber

Very cool eclectic home full of southern charm! Close to the beach. Walking distance to beach access and grocery. We enjoyed the home and the pizza at Huca-Poos!

A phenomenal place

Staying here was just phenomenal! The area, location and uniqueness of this cottage was adorable and grand! It has many things other cottages don't have with a charm that is it own adding character! So relaxing! I also love that she lady dog crates out and the big yard for them. Can't get much better than this historical raised cute place!

July 4th holiday on Tybee

We are from Richmond Hill and wanted a quick getaway for my family and in particular my 17 year old son and his friends, many of whom were staying on Tybee as well. We decided on this location as it was centrally located and a walk to the beach but a bit removed from the “madness” as it is in a nice residential quadrant of the island. It is a quaint, rustic two bedroom house with one bathroom upstairs, though it does have a second adjacent to the outdoor shower which was convenient. It has a well appointed kitchen and an awesome back porch, great for hanging out. It has a cute front porch too. One block walk from beach and from main grocery store. Ms Bonnie was accommodating and very communicative. If you are looking for a great little beach cottage with a quirky, comfy, feel, this is a great choice. We enjoyed our stay.

We just love this house so much. So cozy. So beautiful. The kitchen is excellent and we love the front porch so much we have remodeled our porch at home to remind us of this Tybee treasure. Bonnie is so gracious and kind.

Historic Raised Tybee Cottage

My wife, two cats, and I stayed at Bonnie's place on Tybee Island over Thanksgiving week and can't say enough positive things about her home. Spacious, comfortable, and a fully stocked kitchen were the three things that made our trip most enjoyable. Bonnie is a great host...easy to communicate with and ready to offer local dining suggestions or historic info for those so inclined. Note: For those with mobility issues, the staircase to the house and access to the tub/shower could be an issue, but otherwise this home has everything you could want for an extended stay! We'll definitely rent again! Thanks Bonnie for renting to us!

Holiday weekend

Loved it! Everything was as expected from the pictures and description. We enjoyed how close the grocery store and restaurants were located to the home the home was pet friendly and we enjoyed having a fenced in backyard and lovely little neighborhood to walk our dog in. Bonnie was fantastic at giving us advice on location of stores and restaurants and worked with us having our pet stay as well. Would love to come back stay a little longer it was a great weekend

We loved this place so much that I wanted to book it again for Christmas through the new year , but was sadly told it would not be available on those days even though I tried to book it in August. Even though we didn’t get this house, I found another place to rent for 12 nights in December. My son came to visit a couple of times and he loved it so much that he was wishing he could buy it. We loved everything about it and would rent it again when available.Tybee Island is a great place to spend time with your loved ones.

Cutest beach house ever

Seriously cutest beach house ever and I have stayed in several all over the place! I came to see my 2 boys that live in Macon Ga from Texas! We only got to stay a couple of days and despite the weather we enjoyed our time sitting on the front porch! Thanks to the hostess for letting us say with their doggies! We will back one day!

Birthday Getaway

We came to relax for one last weekend before school starts and see my daughter who lives in Svannah a bit more. It was an easy walk to the beach and a comfortable place to just hang out with our favorite people and pets.

Great Cottage!

We really enjoyed our stay. It's a great house with a really nice screened in front porch and back deck, very convenient to the beach. Our dogs liked it a lot too and Bonnie was really nice and accommodating. We hope to return soon.

Comfortable and Well Located

The house is older but functional. The kitchen has everything you need and the front and back decks are comfortable. Those with mobility issues may have an issue with the bathroom. Quirky decor adds to the charm but also the dust. Overall, it is a nice place to stay.

Mini vacation

This rental has a great location. It had easy access to everywhere we needed to go, especy the beach with smaller children. They supplied everything needed for a great weekend vacation. No need to pack all that extra stuff. It was a nice place and I would rent it again.

The place was so awesome, and the owner was so nice and accommodating. While I was there the winter storm moved in, and she offered to let me stay another night at no charge so I would not have to travel with all the ice and snow on the roads!!!! Amazing!!! Highly Recommended!!

We purchased this home on Tybee Island and would like to share it with others in the same way welcomed and shared our hotel. We hope you will enjoy the Tybee Beach experience in our historic Tybee home.
