We enjoyed the house. Wonderful set up to view the cove from the porch, house or deck near the water. Unable to get to the water from the house itself. Not easy to get kayaks anywhere as well without a car that could carry them. Easy commute to Popham Beach. Plenty of places to eat out, farm stand nearby but shopping for larger grocery run was in Bath. Good option but not local. Great walk along Spirit pond. More to do in Phippsburg as well but had a day at the Maine Botanical Gardens that was wonderful and visits with friends. Bath nearby with some good places to eat especially oysters at Oysthers. Highly recommend for a Phippsburg stay.

I'm happy you enjoyed the house and explored the local area. The hill out back does go down to the water, but the water's edge is rocks and it is admittedly difficult to launch from there. We encourage visitors to launch the kayaks into Spirit Pond across the street.

The house was very comfortable and accommodating. It’s a beautiful piece of property right on Atkinson bay. We enjoyed paddle boarding at high tide right from the property. Morning coffee in the chairs down by the bay was wonderful! Easy access to Popham Beach State Park.

We had a wonderful time. The kitchen had everything we needed. The house was very close to Popham Beach and Fort Popham. Lovely yard and seats by the bay. We say a beautiful fox one evening while having supper.

Another Awesome Maine Vacation

Kudos to the Zinssar family for offering such great accommodations at Popham Beach. We were comfortable and relaxed in this home. We are especially grateful for their hospitality in the wake of our sudden loss of a previous rental. We all believe that this home was much better than our original pick! House is in a great location to Popham, especially now that they close the lot during high tide due to minimal beach space. I had no idea how much erosion has happened to the beach since we were last there in 2023. It fit our family of four and my MIL perfectly, would also be good for two small families. Mosquitoes around the house made it nearly impossible to hang out outside there. Loved doing the Morse mtn to Sewell beach trail too.

Second Visit

Another memorable week at Popham Beach with amazing weather; hours spent prospecting for sand dollars, surf casting for stripers (one keeper that gave the three of us two tasty dinners) and long walks between the fort and Fox Island. We have yet to use the kayaks- next trip! The house has all the amenities needed to have an adventurous week at the beach. We are looking forward to our return visit! Thank you Doreen and Ken-

The central hub

The home’s location is ideal. The beach is close. We toured BWI in Bath and the Maritime Museum. Excellent. Brunswick and Bowdoin College’s art museum was a most interesting collection. Booth Bay & a harbor boat outing was picturesque. We boarded Amtrak in Brunswick for a day trip to Boston. The home itself was a good fit as we enjoyed the large dining table & kitchen. Well done!

Minutes to Popham State Park

I rented this property for my adult kids and grands. The property was a perfect fit for them. One family had the upstairs and the other was on the main level. All the comforts of home. Beautiful large dining table accommodated us all for family meals. Ken was responsive to all my questions and kept us informed when there was a brief power outage. The kids asked me to book it for next year. Done!

Perfect Rental!

This is a highly desirable property and my family and I would love to return. The house has a well-appointed kitchen and many comfortable places for relaxing with a book, watching TV, or playing games. Though it's tucked among the trees, the many windows give it a light and breezy feel. There's a beautiful deck overlooking woods and bay (one of two nearby choices for kayaking). We saw a bald eagle circling overhead a couple times. Best of all, it's about a mile from Popham Beach, so we were able to spend hours swimming during the day and come back in the evenings for walks during low tide.

Beautiful view, spacious and close to Popham

We really enjoyed our stay. The house has a beautiful view of Atkins Bay. The house is spacious and the dinning table and kitchen worked well for meals. The house is minutes to Popham. The deck was great and we were able to enjoy some meals outside during our stay. Ken was a great host and responded quickly to any questions during our stay. Thank you!

House on Lobsterman's Way on Atkins Bay in Phippsburg, Maine

We had another great experience at 5 Lobsterman's Way in Phippsburg last week. This is our second year in a row renting this property. The house is clean, roomy, and in excellent condition. Lots of room to spread out - two upstairs bedrooms with a full bath, and a downstairs bedroom as well, also with a full bath. Plenty of room for our family, but also privacy when needed. The mattresses are newer (hybrid foam and inner spring probably) and very comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and well appointed, with two good sized Lobster pots - a must for a Maine vacation. The best part however is the close proximity to Popham Beach, which is less then 5 minutes away by car. The house also included a season State Park pass pass, so we paid no fees to use the beach. We had a great time and will definitely return. Walt and Peggy Murphy

House on Lobsterman's Way on Atkins Bay in Phippsburg, Maine

We had a wonderful stay at Kenneth's house on Atkins Bay in Phippsburg. Maine. The house was roomy and spacious, with nicely separated bedrooms providing plenty of privacy. The kitchen was large and well stocked. There are basically two living rooms, both with nice views of Atkins Bay. The deck was recently re done with new planking and railings. The best part was the close proximity to Popham Beach. We've been coming the Popham Beach area to vacation for 20 years. It is one our favorite places in Maine. We would love to stay at Lobsterman's Way again in the future. Hopefully for two weeks next time! Walt and Peggy

Popham 2021

The property was perfect for my family. The house was spacious, and nicely configured for our numbers. The large dining room table was wonderful for our evening meals, with room for everyone to be together. The deck had a beautiful view, and was so lovely and relaxing - a great place to visit and grill. We would all love to return!

Nice home one mile from Popham Beach

Property is as described, and comfortable for six people. We had limited use of the outdoor part of the property because of the huge number of mosquitos that followed some rain. The kitchen is very well-equipped, wi fi has good reception. Property owner is responsive.

Amazing!

A wonderful stay in a beautiful house! We were so thankful to have this time with our friends! The house was perfect for our needs! The kitchen was well equipped, two full bathrooms, along with laundry facilities, were all needed and used. The proximity to Popham was perfect! Each morning we drove a couple miles to the Fort and walked along the beach for our daily exercise. Mosquitos are an issue EVERYWHERE there’s shade in Maine...so be prepared. The dining table was perfect for games and meals for the six of us...but it could easily hold twelve people!

Family beach getaway

We had a great time! The house has a lot of windows and is very spacious. We really enjoyed the cool breeze off of the bay each evening. Popham Beach is less than a 5 min drive away and was easily accessible. Ken was a very kind and responsive host!
