Our friendly rates are affordable allowing you to enjoy your stay longer.

Our living room adjoins the dining room and has plenty of cozy seating whether you’re reading or watching TV. There is a library of DVDs for your enjoyment as well as Yahtzee, Scrabble, cribbage, and many more games to play.

Upstairs sports a cool denim motif with a king dual controlled sleep number bed in the back bedroom. Bedroom 1 has an oversized double bed and an extra-long twin with a trundle below. Linens are provided.

We are a 1 bath home with a unique twist. There is a door between the shower/tub and sink/toilet areas. Each has its own entrance giving the basics of a 2 bath home.

Our kitchen has been recently updated with granite counter tops and sinks. We feature a refrigerator complete with ice maker, microwave, stove, washer, dryer, and an abundance of small appliances. Service for 8 or more is provided. Ready to picnic at the beach…the ice chest, roasting sticks, and pots for your crab await you.

Do you prefer to BBQ at home? Thel grill and utensils are ready; the outdoor table can be set. Our deck offers a large glass wind break for full enjoyment. Life jackets are available for your youngsters.

Your private dock gives you access for fishing, kayaking, and boating of all kinds. There is a boat launch opposite the grocery store for easy access to the river.

If you are celebrating a special event or just getting away, we welcome you. Remember you are just minutes away from a long walk on the beach, a magical climb up Cape Kiwanda, an award winning brew pub (The Pelican), numerous restaurants and shops. Perfect little cottage for a home base to adventure from! Fully stocked with home comforts it worked perfectly for our group of 5 to rest and prepare meals. The highlight was the dock right on the river, great for watching the local wildlife and the local herd of cows, i enjoyed a quiet cup of tea every morning just watching the morning fog lift. Head out to the dock at high tide to see the seals and listen for Bossy Bessie the cow telling her herd what to do! Our main challenge was one kid on crutches could not manage to get to the dock and the spiral stair had to be climbed on her hands and knees!

Overall we enjoyed the location. But the one thing that was the biggest let down was the cleanliness of the house. From the Cobb webs on the ceiling corners inside, washing the sheets right after arrival to be sure things were clean, to the black mold where it looked like some baseboards were missing and the crumbs in the cabinets where pans, bowls and other kitchen gadgets would be. Upon waking the next morning for showers we discovered it would take 20-30 minutes for the bathtub to drain from a possible blockage in the drain. Did communicate with the property manager the next morning and said that things would be discussed with the property owner and house keeper. The communication from the property manager was instant reply, just wished we would have not spent the first part after checking in, stripping sheets to wash them and remaking the beds.

Family Fun

Overall the property was very good and the location allowed us to visit other locations nearby. It was great being on the river yet close enough to the beach. The only negative side was just having one bathroom for 6 adults and the front and back doors were hard to open because they would stick plus the top step coming in was a little too high so we only used the back door. Other than that it was a nice little house and had everything we needed.

Dory Day's Vacation

When we arrived we had to vacume both couches as they had sand and dog hair on them. Lots of cobwebs, had to vacume the ceiling in the living room with daddy longleg spiders. The kitchen was well stocked though. Thank you.

Great river location

We had a great, two-week stay with rotating family guests. The house was plenty big for 5 adults to stay comfortably and we could have added one or two more with no big issues. We really enjoyed the wonderful view of the river from inside, the deck outside, the dock, and the very well appointed kitchen. (Plenty of knives, plates, pans, etc. available unlike our experience at many other rentals.) We grilled and cooked enjoying the local fresh fish, worked (wifi was plenty fast), took our SUPs out from the dock, fished (need a license), rented kayaks from just down river, watched cows and birds, went whale watching in Depoe Bay, walked beaches (very close by and very easy access) and had a generally great time. Only drawback is that the house is on a busy road with no side walk so you have to be mindful walking from the house, but there are many great places nearby with no traffic so we were able to find good walking. You really only notice the traffic if you are walking on the road. Being out back on the river is like being in another world. Hosts were very accommodating, helpful, and responsive. Hope we are lucky enough to stay for even longer next summer.

House on the river

Cosy, clean, and comfortable house and deck. Older with nice updates to kitchen and bathroom. Pleasant, responsive owners that promptly took care of a plugged drain. Enjoyed dock on the river. Beware of dangerous road very close to the house, with no sidewalk or much shoulder, where speeding was common.

Cute cottage!

Owners were very friendly and easy to work with. Cottage had some nice extras, like life jackets in assorted sizes. It was a great location between Tillamook and Depoe Bay so we ha slots of activities to choose from without a lot of driving. Beautiful beach was just a few minutes away!
