The views at this cabin are beautiful. We enjoyed being able to see Ober Mountains trams go by. The porch was the perfect place to drink coffee and enjoy the views. Unfortunately, I cannot give this cabin 5 stars because we had several issues. The upstairs bedroom had a swarm of yellow jacket wasp that kept coming in. My mom was stung three different times in the middle of the night, multiple nights. The owner did send out an exterminator, but they weren’t able to come until 2 days later and the problem persisted. We also had problems with showers not draining and smells of sewage backup in multiple places in the house. The cabin itself was pretty and accommodated our family, but there are several upgrades that could be done.

To be clear; the description is accurate: the views are incredible and we were made fully aware that the cabin is “outdated”.Our disappointment is that there appears to be almost no effort at all to make staying here a pleasant experience. The bare minimums are met, clean linen, vacuumed floors but not much else. Desperately needs a PROFESSIONAL deep cleaning, interior has dust and cobwebs everywhere and the exterior lacks any evidence of upkeep to structure or landscape. The contents of the home to include furnishings and amenities appear to have been picked up at a yard sale or the goodwill. This is truly disappointing because the property has so much potential. We chose to remain in the home for the duration of our stay because like I stated, it is serviceable and the pictures are mostly accurate. We travel between 100 and 150 days every year so we have seen the good, the ugly, and everything in between so I am trying to be honest and also offer constructive criticism. The property is sorely lacking professional property management. There is a huge difference in a property being outdated versus a property being neglected. If and when the appropriate time and effort is put into this home then it will be an absolute gem!
