Sea Breezes North - Just Steps To The Beach!

Sitting just 100 yds from the beach, Sea Breezes North is inviting and comfortable the minute you walk through the door. Each side of the duplex has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and a living/dining/kitchen area. A unique sliding wall allows for rental of both sides with a common dining area, (when the wall is open). Each kitchen is fully equipped. There is cable TV, DVD, and wifi, a private deck with grill and heavenly outside showers on each side. The Town of Southern Shores was founded on volunteerism and continues to be cared for by a strong team of members of the community. It is a community committed to preserving a safe, family friendly beach and sound area. Beach and sound access is limited to property owners and renters, so over-crowding is not an issue. Access to the beach from Sea Breezes Cottage is a short 100 yard walk. Although across the street from the beach access path, the cottage is in a strictly enforced 25 mph zone of Ocean Blvd, making crossing the street easy and safe. The North side of the cottage is identical to the South side unit except in bedding. On this side, there is one bedroom that has bunk beds plus an additional twin. The second bedroom has a king size bed. There is also a queen size sleep sofa in the living area.

Please note we do not have laundry machines at the cottage, so we do not provide linens. There are linen services in the area that can provide these if you do not want to pack them. We do have pillows with protective covers, blankets and bed spreads. You will need to bring your own sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels, and beach towels.

Perfect getaway

The property was clean and very comfortable. We came during spring break in April so it was quiet and not very busy at all. The beach access was epic! HIGHLY recommend staying here and we hope to be back soon!

Love the outer Banks off season

I had quick responses from owner prior to booking. Our family had wonderful time on the beach ( we all swam), sunset at Jockey’s Ridge State Park, golfing and visiting the Currituck Lighthouse and park area. Perfect location!

This classic outer banks flat top is the perfect location next to a beach access. The landscaping in front provides privacy and a beautiful view from the window seat. Great location. Short distance to Nags Head, Corolla, and Kitty Hawk. Easy to locate. Shopping and amenities close by. Landscaping could use some work as the house was a little hidden. Easy to get to the beach. Overall was convenient and comfortable with the feel of a quaint cottage.

Restful and comfortable gateway

The property is lovely. Super clean and very comfortable. Doesn’t feel like rental at all but more like home away from home. It’s a little dark but has cozy lamps in the living room and gets lots of afternoon sun on the kitchen side. Very quiet area and can hear the ocean. Really enjoyed our stay.

OBX girls trip

Home was older but very convenient to everything. Was clean and had lots of space. 4 women stayed and had no problems. Loved we could just walk across the street to the beach. I would stay here again.

This cottage was bought by my parents, in partnership with my father's best friend from the navy, Hal. At times it was hard for each to make the payments, but they managed. With 5 kids there was a ready supply of workers to maintain the cottage. Several families from our church also bought cottages or rented cottages regularly and memories of our time on the Outer Banks grew with bonfires on the beach, trips up Jockey Ridge, Easter egg hunts, and more. When the mortgage was finally paid in full, my folks bought the other side of the duplex and Hal bought another place down the beach. Over the years, the cottage has been expanded and updated with heating and air conditioning, dishwasher, TV, and Internet access. My mother, Elly, is the owner and my sisters, brother, and I manage the cottage for her.

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location.... We are literally across the street from the beach access path, (100 yds to the beach). Shopping, restaurants, entertainment, outdoor activities are within a 10 minute drive . Our beaches are clean and not over-crowded. Sea Breezes cottage has unique charm and comfort individuals, couples, families, girls weekends, guys getaways, fishing and golf trips. Rent both sides for larger groups and open the unique sliding wall to have a large dining area.

What makes this property unique

This cottage is one of the original cottages built on the Outer Banks in the 1950's, but don't let that scare you away! The cottage has charm, is comfortable, and has been updated to have central heating and air conditioning as well as the basic amenities you would hope for, (dishwasher, TV, internet). Sea Breezes doesn't compete with the new construction, luxury beach homes in the area... but then they can't really compete with our place either.
