Hello, I have a house for weekly rental. It is only 5 miles to Silver Lake dune entrance and 5 miles to downtown Pentwater. 3 Blocks away is a beach on beautiful Lake Michigan. Address is 7340 Toliver St, Mears Mi, 49436. This is a family rental, We rent to a maximum of ten guests. With a maximum of 4 adults. The area is a nice quiet spot with nice neighbors so it’s not used as a party house. We rent Sunday to Sunday. It is located in Pentwater township in a quiet wooded area. Our land is adjacent to 200 acres of wooded state land with trails for exploring or bike riding. Our house has two floors. Top floor has an open concept main living room, dining room and kitchen. There is a full bathroom and primary bedroom also on that level. Kitchen is fully stocked including dishwasher, pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker, air fryer and much more. The large primary bedroom has queen bed, 2 dressers, closet and lots of light coming in through two big windows. Living room has natural light coming in through a set of French doors leading to a new very large deck with plenty of seating and propane grill. Living room has Roku tv, comfy sectional couch and two reclining chairs. Bathroom on this level has tub/shower. On the ground floor there is a second bedroom with a set of double bunkbeds heavy duty enough to support 2 adults on top and two adults on bottom. There is a second set of the same double bunk beds off to the side of large family room. Our family room has a large screen TV , 2 couches, chairs, coffee and end tables, mini fridge, small table and chairs. There is a laundry/bathroom combo with washer and dryer, toilet, sink, shower.

There is more than enough parking for any dune toys you bring including covered parking under large deck.

We do have central air and internet.
Our house is comfortable and has everything you need to create wonderful memories.

Update: New refrigerator, stove, microwave 2026-new dishwasher2021-new water softener 2021.

*****We do not provide bedding or towels. Please remember to bring sheets, blankets, pillow cases and beach and hand towels*****

While we do allow you to bring 1 dog upon approval, there are breed restrictions. ( no cats )
Just a heads up you do need to bring a kennel for you pooch. He needs to be kenneled when not supervised. Also dogs need to stay off all furniture. If fur is found on beds, couches ect there will be a cleaning fee.

As far as Covid. Our cleaning person cleans the home then wipes down hard surfaces with a 10% bleach solution and Lysol on soft surfaces.

Perfect Location

This is the perfect spot for a family get away or a couple friends hitting the dunes. Gets you away from the hustle and bustle of Pentwater or Silver Lake, but close enough to enjoy both towns with a 5-10 minute drive. Laura communicated very well and lived up to the 5 star rating this rental deserves! Highly reccomend!

We really loved this location. We were able to explore the region, but also enjoyed the super-close, local beach. Beach access was a quick drive (under 1 min.) or walk (under 10 min.). Stairs necessary to access beach. Bring sheets, blankets, pillowcases - and toiletries. This created extra planning BUT made an already homey place seem even homier. Owner communicates this very clearly. The deck, grill, dishwasher, 2 bathrooms, 2 whole living rooms, W&D made this a super comfortable stay. We each enjoyed our own bed! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time. The house was a perfect fit. Everyone was pleased with our accommodations. Our host was very gracious when we needed to contact her. Very well stocked with amenities. Kitchen was extremely well stocked with utensils and cooking equipment. Planning to return next summer and maybe add another house for the rest of our family.

This home is everything it advertises and more. Incredibly comfortable, extremely clean and well cared for. Lots of fun things to do in the area and a nice little beach spot just down the road. The location allowed us to easily spend time at Silver Lake, Pentwater and Ludington. The deck is beautiful and perfect for grilling and chilling. Can't wait for next year!

Perfect location for access to the Dunes eg Silver Lake, Pentwater, Mears

A lot of stairs going up, but once there, the kitchen was perfectly stocked with all the utensils you would need for cooking. Really great deck! Two really nice TV’s for watching the Olympics🤗one upstairs and one downstairs. Nice large master bedroom upstair, two full size bunk beds on first floor. Grandkids loved their private space down there. Our host is simply great!

Perfect location, beautiful property.

You get the best of both worlds with this rental. It's right between Pentwater and Silver Lake and you have private access to Lake Michigan. We stayed busy the whole trip shopping in Pentwater, going to Lake Michigan, riding on the dunes and relaxing on Silver Lake. The house is great with all the outside sitting, and my family and I enjoyed walking the dogs on the trails adjacent to the house. The house and property is well kept. We will be back!

Loved it!

We have rented houses in/near Pentwater for over 15 years and this house, by far, was one of the best stocked. Plenty of pots, pans, cups, utensils, etc. Even a crock pot! Was nice to have all of the kids on the ground floor which cut down on the parents being disturbed with their late night game playing. Plenty of chairs on the deck. Fire wood provided was THE BEST! I highly recommend!

Great Quiet Getaway

If you’re looking for a place in the middle of the hustle and bustle, this place is not for you! This is a great place for a quiet getaway yet you are only minutes away from Silver Lake or Pentwater. We have a dog so places to stay are limited so this place was perfect. We were a short walk down to Lake Michigan beach where he could swim and play frisbee. The house was very well stocked with necessities and we enjoyed hanging out on the huge deck. We took advantage of the 3 supplied kayaks when we felt like getting some exercise in. Laura (the owner) was very responsive to any questions that I had and the process was a breeze. This place is definitely on the list of return vacations!

Great space for family time at the beach

We had plenty of room, and house had what we needed for our family to enjoy our week at Lake Michigan. Kitchen was well stocked with everything to cook several meals in. The deck was a great place to eat outside and enjoy the evening. Short walk or drive to the beach made for a fun time either there or exploring in Pentwater or Ludington. Only downside for us was we didn't like the taste of the well water so bought several gallons of water to get through the week. Also wasn't expecting that we would need to bring blankets when you said we would need sheets. So luckily we had some and used the throw blankets to supply the other beds with a blanket. Thanks

escape from covid-19

we had a wonderful get-away in the mears area. this was a last minute trip because everything else had been cancelled. but we realized here that we have so much beauty right in michigan. we hiked, biked, cooked, read, relaxed ... away from most. sketchy internet but in a way it was a good thing.

A great location, good amount of room, large yard for kids, large concrete slab for kids bikes, great Big deck outside on upstairs level, away from the traffic in Silver lake, you could walk to Lake Mi beach, but their are stairs going down and beach area is small given lake levels, air conditioning worked good. I didn’t like the iron smell/ taste in the water. Purchased bottled water for cooking and drinking. Downstairs bathroom is a stool and a laundry tub, and a neoangled shower. Oddities in house: the bathroom door upstairs closes on it own as does the bedroom. I enjoyed my stay so the pluses outweighed the negatives. Lots to do in the area and you are in a great location to see it.

Great location. Host had everything we needed available for the week. Overall it we had a good visit. Perfect location if you have dogs. The house needs some general up keep, the refrigerator is missing drawers and the door wont stay shut, doesnt seem to get very cold. Several light bulbs were out. With just a bit of attention this could be total 5 star.

Hello, my name is Laura and I live just north of Grand Rapids mi. I have a small 10 acre hobby farm with horses, goats, chickens, dogs and a cat. I work as a vet tech for a local hospital. My husband is a business owner. He owns a property management company The Lawn Ranger.
We have loved spending our vacations at Silver Lake Dunes. It was always a challenge to find a place we could bring the dogs so we decided to buy a place. Having a place of our own has been a dream come true.
Brent and I have 5 grown kids and two grand daughters. Our family and our faith has always been a priority. Our lives truly are blessed.
I hope those of you that vacation at our home make wonderful memories.
