About the host
Hosted by Vermecia Renee Alsop

Born and raised in Washington, DC, I’ve spent most of my life immersed in the city’s unique energy, with a decade in Georgia that added some Southern charm to my roots. With over 15 years dedicated to public safety and climate resilience, my work has kept me busy, prompting a break from hosting. Now, I’m excited to be back and welcome guests into my home once again.
On weekends, you’ll often find me on local trails with my dog or diving into DIY projects around the house. As your host, I focus on making every detail just right to ensure a smooth, comfortable stay. I look forward to sharing my love for DC with you!

Why they chose this property
I chose this area because, as a third-generation Washingtonian, I have deep roots in this community. Growing up, I spent my summers here, and I've always loved how DC combines vibrant city life with easy access to nature, incredible museums, diverse food options, and a rich tapestry of American history. For generations, my family has supported and contributed to this city, making it a place that feels both dynamic and deeply personal.
What makes this property unique
What makes my home unique is the love and care I’ve put into it. As a first-time homeowner, I moved here with the opportunity to build it from the inside out, putting thought into every detail. My goal is for you to feel welcome and at ease from the moment you arrive. I love this city and want you to experience it with the same warmth and appreciation that I feel every day.
