We enjoyed all of the thoughtful touches throughout the property along with the cleanliness & chocolate chip cookies upon arrival. The porch was great to enjoy morning coffee & the lovely view. The only drawback were the trains that passed by throughout the night & blew their whistle at the crossing close by. This is not something the owners can control & if you are a light sleeper ear plugs might help.

This house is excellent. Beautiful view great location. Hostess is amazing. This VRBO is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. I have stayed in many across the country. Near many WV state parks and fun things to do. Read the hostess book for ideas near the house. Would stay again! She even had home made cookies when we arrived. You will not be disappointed in your stay at Herons Cove!!

This is a lovely house set on the New River. The deck overlooking the river is wonderful. We spent time watching the river flow, observing otters, herons, cormorants, and other birds. The host provided firewood to use in the firepit. Dark skies lovely at night. The host was accommodating. Modern decor and appliances. House seems new and everything was clean and comfortable. Well stocked for a stay! Convenient to New River Gorge National Park. For those who love trains, the setting would be a plus. For us, it was a bit of a drawback to have coal trains passing by and blowing horns throughout the night because one family member has sound sensory issues. He did not sleep well. Would have appreciated knowing about the trains before booking. But besides that, it was an incredible place to stay. Thank you.

Glad you enjoyed the stay and had a great time. Sorry you didn't enjoy the trains. I do make sure to put it in the listing description so that everyone knows about them ahead of time.

The place was great. They gave everything you need to feel at home with all the little extras. Very responsive and accommodating to our beds and helpful with the bad weather we had while there.

Beautiful views

This house exceeded our expectations. It had enduring we needed and more. watching the sun set off the back porch was amazing. We loved having the general store right next door. The trains going through all night long is something to get used to but we listened to ocean sounds and that helped. My son thought it was great to watch the trains go through.

By far the best house we have stayed in . Everything was amazing . The fresh baked cookies , treats for our dogs and mints by each pillow at check in , such a great touch . They supplied everything you need or you may have forgotten . Hand soaps , dish soap and sponge, toothpaste, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body wash . 2 bundles of firewood . … the hosts have thought of everything !!! The house was just as described. Perfect size for our family of 6 and 2 dogs . The dogs loved watching the cat next store from the deck . Everything so clean !!! The house in a perfect spot on the river with 2 towns 20-30 minutes away . Close to all the amazing state parks , which are all a must see . The general store near by was also great . They had everything you may need as well . The food was outstanding… we all ate there several times ! Breakfast burrito , crispy chicken sandwich and homemade pudding all must haves !!!!! The staff all friendly and helpful . My daughter’s car had an issue upon arrival. They suggested a shop in Hinton to get it fixed . Host is very responsive when messaged . Will definitely stay again !!! Having the train going by multiple times a day was great as well . All in all a great house in a perfect location with amazing hosts !!! Thank you for sharing your home !!
