Perfect place for our pups and 2 year old granddaughter. We loved spending time on the fenced in porch. We rented pattleboards and they were delivered right to the dock.

My family and I stayed for a 4-day weekend, the house is lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the porch, the views are beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.The house was clean and the process was smooth and easy!

Lovely pet friendly lake view and access rental. It is a steep grade down to the water but the water access and home are lovely, There should be something in the listing, prior to booking info that you receive a few days prior, that lets you know you can’t park a boat trailer on/at the property. Overall would recommend.

Perfect spot

This house was perfect for me and my friends. Very clean and decent location. Also the gated porch was perfect for hanging out and having my dog. Had everything we needed from toiletries to kitchen gadgets. We will be returning!!

Perfect rental for a Hokie drop off. Close and easy ride for a relaxing get away. Three college students and parents. Our host suggested an easy rental of lake equipment -kayak and paddle board- delivered directly to the dock. House well stocked with all essentials, clean, and the best part Pet Friendly. My chocolate lab was in heaven all weekend swimming and diving in the lake. Lovely fire pit and full length porch with a covered area for a passing storm. We spent many hours on the deck. Enjoyed the charming art on all the walls. Relatively fully stocked, modern kitchen, vintage bathrooms but exactly what you would expect from a cottage in the woods on a lake. Small, clean, and working. Modern laundry area. Neighbors are close by as mentioned above, older community and are very visible. Check with google earth whether or not construction is completed on neighbors house. Unfortunately I did not and our quiet long weekend was not so quiet with all the banging and trucks. This of course was no fault of our host, but a head’s up would have been appreciated. Also very steep, rocky walk to the lake dock. But an elderly family member could be dropped off as the road extends to the dock areas. It is lake view, not completely a lake front where your property touches lake. Common area at bottom with many docks close by. Would love to book again for football games, but seems others have already booked this little gem! Highly recommend.

Overall the property was effective and as expected as advertised in the listing. It is a great property to be directly near the water and have lake/boat access.The biggest issue we had was contacting the owner to have problems resolved. Unfortunately they use a management company where calls are fielded over seas and you have to talk to at least 3-4 different persons before something is done.Upon arrival we could not gain access to one of the bedrooms as the door was locked and the handle just spun and spun, the door was also jammed at the top. It took hours until we finally got someone to come out and partially fix the issue (they had to come back the next day to finish, cutting into our vacation time). We also found that a few of the bedrooms were not properly cleaned and the bed linens were astrewn. The kitchen/living space was not well cleaned either. Coffee left in the coffee machine. Garbage/obvious debri in the kitchen drawers etc. Floor was not well cleaned either.We had to spend the first day and a half of our vacation cleaning and doing laundry etc before we could enjoy the space. We highly recommend they look into a new cleaning agency etc.

Great place! Accommodated 6 adults and a baby with ease. Top highlights for us were the huge gated deck (so kid-friendly!), the spacious kitchen, and the dock and water access. Very peaceful location on a quiet private road. Thanks for a great stay!
