The cabin was lovely and there was plenty to keep both the adults and kids busy, both on the property and nearby. Would definitely rent again. Such a lovely area.
It was a great trip. The cabin was in a great location close to lakes, trails, and the little Colorado. The place was clean and well stocked. We will definitely be returning. Thanks
It was a great time. We had everything we needed, and when the pellets for the stove ran low, Kathy made sure we had another bag very quickly. Great place to unwind.
This owner has a few cabins. We stayed in Beartooth. It worked well for us. Open living/dining. The deck is closed so you can hang out with your pets without worrying about them running off.
The cabins are in Greer itself (which last time we stayed in Greer, there was some partying going on--noisy wedding) which also puts you closer to the highway to get to trails.
The cabin is surrounded by trees but the morning sun pours into the vaulted windows.
A couple things to know about the cabin: the hot tub is really only a jetted tub upstairs (according to the listing; I didn't check the tub); there's a circular staircase to the upper bedroom which can make it hard for carrying suitcases or for pets (so our pet owners stayed in the two downstairs bedrooms); the kitchen has the basic utensils and appliances but if you want anything unusual, bring it.
This set of cabins does have a dumpster which is nice. Many other rentals in the area make you take your trash to the store which charges a small fee. I don't mind the fee but prefer not to have to carry trash bags in the car on the way out of town.
Clean and so accomodating for our family! Great week in Greer, hiking, bike riding, eating ice cream, horseshoes and bring a volleyball for the court all set up!
It was a fabulous Cabin getaway, we so enjoyed spending time together at your Cabin! Thank you for hosting and having such a fabulous place to rent for a long weekend!
The place is in such a beautiful area, tucked back in the woods. It's so peaceful, so calm. The house is beautiful with amazing views. It was well worth the time that we spent there! We will definitely be coming back! All the kids had a blast, it was such a nice and much needed break!
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your cabin!
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Communication with our host was excellent. We enjoyed sitting at night by the fire pit listening to the elk bugle. We were able to see elk roaming meadows in Greer. We barbecued on the big patio with a very nice gas bq. This was a great place and a great location.
This cabin was perfect for us...private and spacious inside and nice patio outside. The two floors were great...my husband and I were downstairs and our adult son had the upstairs which gave him some privacy. We had a wonderful week and hope to return soon!
Great directions & easy check in. It was our first time staying in Greer. Loved sitting on the deck with the beautiful views. Enjoyed the cooler weather too. It was a nice little getaway from the heat & enjoyed family time.

About the host
Hosted by Kathy Myrick
We have owned our property and the 32 acres surrounding us since 1948. The old Greer road, built during horse and buggy times runs through our property. A truly family business--designed & built and managed by the Myrick's for family fun!
Why they chose this property
If you are looking for an 'out in the woods' experience with the comforts of home, look no further! Our 4 cabins are located in the woods & surrounded by many acres of forest--away from the rat race yet only a few minutes into the village for activities or restaurants!
What makes this property unique
Our cabins are a short walk to the 3 Greer Lakes for fishing! Great for reunions, business, church, and school group functions with 4 cabins spread over 2 acres with many acres of forest surrounding them. Make incredible memories around campfires, playing volleyball and horseshoes, walk the dog over to the Greer Lakes & catch a couple trout or crawdads. :) One of my favorite pictures, when my children were little, is when they peeked out from a mini "cave" in the big boulders a short walk up the ridge behind our cabins! Be sure to catch a view of the Greer Lakes while there. Catch the aspens change colors in the fall! Sunrise Ski Park Resort is 15 minutes away for downhill skiing & just down the road are trails for cross country skiing! Or just stay on site & build a snowman in the winter or have snowball fight & sled on our hill.
