This quiet cottage at the end of a dead-end street was comfortable. It was simply too hot in late June (with the heat wave) to do any walking to the downtown Decatur area, but we did enjoy the neighborhood walks and parks nearby early in the morning and late evenings. The cottage is charmingly outfitted and comfortable, but there is no "laundry facility" as the listing suggests (I know Dawn is working to fix it). She was gracious enough to let us do a load of laundry in the main house as we had just arrived after 5 days of camping! Our dog was grateful for the yard and the little patio was perfect for us to hangout (when it got cool enough to after 7 PM). The main house was empty so there was plenty of privacy for us, but I wonder how that might be if it were occupied. The kitchenette is in the sleeping space, so we found lingering food smells after cooking small meals.
We were visiting our daughter and this was a 5 minute walk through a very nice neighborhood to get to her apartment. Also an easy 10 - 15 minute walk to downtown Decatur. Cottage does tend to be a bit dark, but it was lovely sitting on the front porch listening to all the birds and the neighborhood was very quiet.
As a matter of personal taste, the mattress was too soft for us, if you have back issues that could be a problem.

Overall ok, but ac units coming on and going off all night kept my family awake.
Plus, other occupants of the main house parked cars in the drive way that made incredibly difficult to access the unit. Very tough for my elderly Mother. No a good set up… would not rent again…. Certainly for that amount of money.
The owner was helpful. I told here there were cockroaches in the unit but she came to the unit and explained that the cockroaches were actually palmetto bugs and only come in after in rains.I didn't understand how to get off the property the moring after I checked in, but the owner explained that there is a hole in the fence that you put your hand through to lift the handle. The stove top had only 1 of 4 burners working but the owner explained that there was a hot top in the kitchen.

The cleaning person was ICE detained. No cleaning. We had to rebook and take a refund
Very cute cottage on a cul-de-sac, so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. Comfortable, clean, relaxing. I walked from the cottage to Decatur town square, 10 minutes. Also walked from Avondale MARTA station, 10 minutes.
I love how the owner paid attention to details!! The showerhead is really nice in the bed is super comfortable!! For someone traveling for medical reasons, this place was perfect!! It fit my exact needs, and I love the privacy 🌺
The back yard looks NOTHING like the pictures. It has a damp basement ordor. We walked in and instantly the ordor hit us. My family member has terrible allergies so we decided it would be best not to stay.
The cottage is in close proximity to Downtown Decatur and had everything we needed. It’s in a quiet, nice neighborhood !
Dawn was great with communication and a real pleasure to speak to. The cottage is a definite when we return to Atlanta.
We stayed here to visit our daughter for the week. I thought the property was great. Nice neighborhood, convenient to the town square yet out of the way. The cottage was just the right size for two. However, our check-in was odd. The manager didn't expect us and didn't act like she even had vrbo rentals. I don't know if that's a vrbo issue (she later said we were expected a day later) or not.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The cottage was located in a private backyard. The home is at the end of a dead end street. Located neat Decatur Square and Oakhurst - many wonderful restaurants and a short drive to Atalanta’s museums, zoo etc.
This little cabin is in Dawn's back yard. The beds are cozy, the place is clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. We will definitely book again when we come to visit our daughter. Our little dog Darla was intrigued by Biscuit and Cocoa! Can't wait till they get to reunite ❤
We enjoyed our stay. Dawn was welcoming & easily available if we needed, and the little cottage is a cute tiny house with all the amenities we needed. And with a larger bathroom & nicer shower than most tiny houses can boast! We look forward to another visit.
Though I was having an issue with a different VRBO listing simultaneously Dawn was responsive to me about the issue and supportive. I appreciate her hospitality very much and would be happy to stay there again! The trampoline was awesome for our eight-year-old as well.
