Clean & cozy house. Check in & check out was easy. Kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, pots & pans. Park on property or on the one way street. Area might look odd but it is quiet. Close to everything we wanted to do/see. Will stay here again when I come back to this area!
Inside was decent. Parking was a bit of a challenge, especially if you have a 2nd vehicle. Very crowded one way street with few spots available. Beds were very uncomfortable but first floor bedroom was convenient. Coffee and condiments were a nice surprise. Overall, was a good value for our 1 night stay before cruising.

In spite of fresh interior paint and new flooring, the house is still tired and worn. New builds across the street may elevate neighborhood; but, as for now it is not the nicest area. Guests in upstairs bedroom on frontside of house heard dogs, people, cars and music throughout the night. The whole house awoke to train whistles each night. Owner was pleasant and responsive to our inquiry about a pervasive odor; however, the pungent smell of upstairs bathroom remained overwhelming for duration of our stay. Full-size beds, instead of Queens, make for a tight squeeze for couples. Padded cotton mattress pads would make for a more restful night rather than the crinkly plastic covers currently on beds. You can’t beat the nightly rate; but, be prepared to get what you pay for.
We had an awesome time staying at this home for the weekend. We drove down to Norfolk Virginia to move my daughter into college at Norfolk State University. The home was so close to everything Walmart Target and her school so it made it really convenient for us to get her everything she needed. The house is very clean air conditioner worked great. I liked how their were toys around the house for small children even though I didn't have any small kids. The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant. If I have to come back down here to get my daughter or move her in again I would definitely stay here again.
