About this property

Beautiful and peaceful

beautiful this time of year and less crowds in the parks come and enjoy all the fall colors or stay and enjoy the quit at the cabin. My cabin dose get snow, if it snows you will need to park at the top of the driveway and walk a short distance to the cabin. Don't miss out on the beauty of the season.
This cabin is NOT handicap accessible. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR WHEELCHAIRS.
OR BATHROOM ACCOMMODATIONS.
Please keep in mind, Kings canyon will be closing soon, I think!
Come and visit the Kings Canyon and Sequoia Parks! Fewer crowds right now
The cabin has no WIFI, no cable or satellite TV. There is a full selection of DVDs and VHS movies, games and puzzles
The cabin is close enough to Hwy 245. But has plenty of privacy with a feel of living in the forest, and the property includes a seasonal creek. The mountain environment is extended indoors with the furnishing of wood and stone themes. The log walls and steeply pitched cedar ceiling provide a feeling of warmth or sit out on the deck with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and enjoy the cedar, pine, and oak trees and have a view toward the creek bottom. Habitat of numerous wild birds including Steller jays and acorn woodpeckers. A short walk on the Creekside trail provides seasonal blackberry picking opportunities or sit under the sprawling canopy of the mature Valley Oaks and listen to the wind.
If there will be more than two adult guests, I CHARGE $35.00 EXTRA per person per night! CHILDREN 13 and older $25.00 per night! Please be upfront with the number and age of people staying.! If there is going to be more then 3 children 12 and under there will also be an extra charge of $15.00 per child per night
Pets are welcome, I charge $15.00 to $35.00 per night per pet.
Pets must be well behaved, HOUSE BROKEN and non-chewers. Pets should not be left alone in the cabin unless you have made arrangements with the owner.
The park is not pet friendly, the park rangers have and will break out windows to rescue pets that are in distress!
The forest, on the other hand, will allow pets on leashes.
I am not responsible for pets left at the property. Please be advised, if you are booking for next year prices can change!

Wonderful and peaceful
Very nice, cozy and peaceful cabin. Lots of space, beautiful furnishings, lots of games and books for evening entertainment. A short distance to Kings Canyon National Park, lots of wildlife. As a last minute idea to get away and see the National Park, could not have asked for better accommodations.

Great getaway from modern society
The place was cozy and warm in the country side. The phone service was spotty so it was nice place to detach from web world.

A Little Slice of Heaven!
Thank you to Kim and her husband for making my uncles' stay so wonderful! In my uncle's words, "It was the most beautiful, quiet place in the world," and they wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. Kim took amazing care of them, who at ages 79 and 80, needed a bit of extra help with directions, technology and other areas. She made them feel at home, safe and well cared for during their 2 week stay.

Beautiful Cabin
The cabin was clean and everything was prepared for our stay. The owner was very kind and helped explaining all the features of the cabin. There was almost no road noise and it was very peaceful. The bbq worked great and had some great dinners made. Would definitely recommend for anyone that wants an easy nice place to stay while exploring the sequoias!

About the host

Hosted by Kimberli Taylor

Host profile image
This cabin was built in 1956 by William, where he lived till he passed away, I am now the property owner and would love to see it enjoyed by those that are looking to escape the city and get back to nature, a place to unplug and reconnect with your spirit, kids and heart.

Why they chose this property

I am most at home in the mountains and have lived here 37 years. The Pinehurst area provides the mountain environment while being reasonably close to the cities of Visalia and Fresno. This particular property is nestled amongst the, cedars, and oaks and is right off the main road to Kings Canyon. Wildlife is attracted to the creek which flows seasonally through the property.

What makes this property unique

Peace, quiet, and seclusion, opportunities for walking, birding, horseback riding, and nature study. Artists (writers, painters, musician and composers) will enjoy the opportunity for introspection. Close to Dunlap (archery center) parasailing and hang gliding (Dunlap flight park) General Grant Grove of Giant Sequoias, and Giant Sequoia National Monument.
I think it is so important to us to get away and just unplug play. Games and puzzles or at the cabin for guest to enjoy.
I also allow well behaved pet's $25.00 to $35.00 dollars per pet per night pet need to be house broken and well behaved, pets are not to be lift in the cabin when guest leave, if you don't want to take your pet on your outing, you can leave them in the kennel that I have provided for them.
