Fantastic stay - perfect location to get the whole family together. Accommodated babies, toddlers, kids, and adults wonderfully! Everyone was able to have their own space yet we thoroughly enjoyed the shared common areas. Hot tub, pool, playground, game room, couldn’t ask for more!
The area is beautiful and the property was wonderful. It had everything we needed, plus some! Always thrilled to find a place that will welcome our dogs as well, who loved exploring the grounds. Would definitely stay again!
What an amazing place! Our family stayed at Stay and Play for a multigenerational family getaway, and it could not have been more perfect. From the beginning, the hosts were so kind, responsive, and accommodating. You can tell they truly care about making sure their guests have a wonderful experience. The property itself is a hidden gem. The pool was a favorite for everyone, and seeing deer and other wildlife throughout the stay was such a treat. The grandkids loved it, but honestly, the adults were just as excited every time we spotted something. One of my favorite things was how well the property worked for our entire family. The casita gave the grandparents a chance to sneak away for a little quiet time when needed, while still being close to all the fun. The playground, game room, and all the little extras kept everyone entertained and happy. We've stayed at a lot of places over the years, and this is one of those rare properties where you can tell the owners have thought of everything. It was comfortable, relaxing, fun, and made it easy for our family to spend quality time together. We left with wonderful memories and lots of photos. If you're looking for a place where grandparents, parents, and grandkids can all enjoy themselves, this is it. We would absolutely stay here again!
We had a lot of fun gathering here! There was so much to do for all ages. The layout of the house made for a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend the Ultimate Family Retreat for your next get together!
Our trip was fantastic. There was plenty to do for the kids. We had 3 different families with their kids and everyone had room to spread out. The kids had a blast the entire weekend. We enjoyed our stay.
So many fun activities on a really beautiful property! Celebrated a birthday weekend here, and we loved the incredible variety of activities that engaged all ages. It's great for an active group. Also the home and the grounds were absolutely beautiful and blooming with wildflowers when we visited!
Our family enjoyed the property very much. Communication with the owner was above par. There were so many activities to keep our grandchildren entertained and the adults enjoyed the space to spend time together. We would definitely return.
We picked this for the size (we had multiple couples) and for being pet-friendly. The size and layout was great. Kings in every bedroom was a huge plus. The beds were comfortable and baths were nice and a lot of hot water. Pets had plenty of room to roam the area. We spent a lot of time at the pool. The pool was awesome. It was a good drive to places - but we liked being remote - as our purpose was to hang out with family. The hosts were very prompt in responding to all questions and comments.
It’s a wonderful facility. The property offers a lot of amenities. Lacks attention to details thus the reason a four rating. It could be a five star but could easily fall to a three star if details are not addressed. The pool was great. The fire pit was wonderful & the playground offered a lot of fun. There was liter. The weeds were high around the playground. The soccer goal & volleyball laid in tall grass. The outdoor area had construction material piled up. The ping pong table had a broken net. In general, there was a lot of trash and boards from construction projects in numerous locations. The areas in the woods are being used to throw debris, I.e. wood, broken item, old sprinkler heads, chemical containers, toilet, etc.The Cassida was nice but they were having plumbing problems & it smelled like sewage. Management did do their best to address the problem but it still had a slight sewage smell after four days. The inside of the house was wonderful with great beds & bathrooms. They provided an abundant number of towels for the pool. The kitchen met all our needs. We did have a fire alarm start beeping low battery in the middle of the night all the batteries to need to be replaced. Furniture in the living area hadn’t been vacuumed under & there was a lot of food and stuff under the cushions. It was a wonderful location & I would recommend if the mang. Co. put a little more attention to details. It was a nice location and management was responsive.

Thank you for your detailed feedback and for choosing to stay with us!
We’re so glad you enjoyed the house itself, the pool, playground, fire pit, and our responsive communication. We’re especially happy to hear that the beds, bathrooms, and kitchen met your family’s needs.
We sincerely apologize for the areas that fell short.
Your stay coincided with the historic July rainstorms that brought widespread flooding and devastation across Texas Hill Country—while we did our best to prepare and respond in real time, the weather created some temporary challenges with outdoor upkeep and drainage-related plumbing odors in the casita. Since then, those issues have all resolved.
We truly value your feedback—it helps us improve and grow. Thank you again for your stay and for the thoughtful review. We’d love the chance to welcome you back with an even better experience next time!
