✱If your reservation is made more than 2 days before check-in, the system will place a “test hold" to verify the payment method. Welcome to the "wasp season" from November to December and early spring! During chilly nights and early mornings, followed by warm days, wasps tend to gather on rooftops in search of warmth. While it doesn't necessarily mean there's a wasp nest in the house, they are essentially in hibernation mode, seeking cozy spots. Generally, they won't bother you much, but we kindly ask you to keep the cabin doors and windows shut to prevent them from entering. Just a heads-up: there's wasp spray conveniently located under the kitchen sink in case you need it, but do not spray over the furniture!

Please note that this is a forested area and there are times when the Oklahoma Forestry Service enforces a burning ban in the area. Fines can be upwards of $1000. Please check online for the current burn ban status before using the outdoor firepit.

A Cottage for a Relaxing Getaway

We loved our stay at Cottonwood Cottage! The cottage was just as described. We enjoyed cooking out on the grill and watching a couple of movies to unwind from our busy life. Also, we enjoyed the hot tub and later gazing up at the stars at night. What a view! The indoor fireplace helped make the living room cozy on the cold nights we were here. The king-sized bed in the "main" bedroom was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very spacious. The check-in and check-out instructions were very clear and easy to follow. We look forward to a future stay here!

It was ok

We expected this to be an isolated property but its not!!! surrounded by many houses and doesnt have any privacy to use the hot tub . Also the fire pit wasn't working and we were advised not to use the outside fire pit due to fire hazard. So we end up not using any fire pit

Family getaway

We enjoyed the Cottonwood Farmhouse so much..it's been our favorite as far as the house layout, hot tub and play area for children! The double washer and dryers were so so handy! Beds were very comfortable. We never could figure out the under cabinet and candle lights..maybe they need fresh batteries? Few items listed in amenities were not there at check in (it was frustrating as I verified with host that they had these items prior to check in). Housekeeper did go purchase and bring them to the house.I would suggest a sink rack for your farmhouse kitchen sink as silverware will eventually scratch the porcelain up!Also you might consider a set of mixing bowls ..we did some baking and used the big salad bowl. One concern was poison ivy we identified near the play ground area and back steps..hopefully the host will stay on top of that and eradicate when found.Other than those few items we were very satisfied with our stay!
