About this property
Seas Today Vacation An Ocean View Condo with Private Beach Trail
This spectacular oceanfront condominium has one-of-a kind panoramic views of the ever changing white waters of the Pacific Ocean. It is a well appointed 2 bedroom 2 bath unit on the third level of the B building in the highly desired Rainbow Rock Resort. This gated community boasts a fully landscaped and flowering private beach trail to the secluded beach below as well as a lush fern rainforest trail that welcomes visitors to the notable Oregon Coast Trail. This trail begins at the mouth of the Columbia River and extends to the California/Oregon border.
Approximately 1100 SF the 2BR/ 2BA third floor unit features vaulted ceilings, bright hallway skylight and full size washer and dryer and new upgraded flooring. The large master bedroom highlights a comfortable king size bed with luxurious linens a TV, walk in closet, en suite bath with shower only, and an eclectic mix of new and antique furniture
The second bedroom has a wonderful queen size bed that continues the same design aesthetic. Fresh white bed and bath linens are included in your stay.
The vaulted living room is airy, uncluttered and homey with a 55 inch HD Smart TV with satellite cable connection or sign in and access your own Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts.
From the large picture window, dinning room sliding doors or the glass railed deck, enjoy views of the ever changing tide pools below or the magical hills to the east or California coastal range to the distant south. The dining room seats four for dinner or for playing games from our supply of favorites. The fully equipped kitchen has new stainless appliances and contains everything one needs to prepare meals including pots, pans, microwave, coffee maker, mixer, and dishwasher or, if you prefer, you can always grill out on the deck.
The location, views, access to outdoor recreation and overall 'feeling' of our community is unmatched on the West Coast. The private trail, to the ocean and beach below, is only used by owners and guests. No need to leave our community, but if you do, here are some of the things you can enjoy during your stay. Our property is directly adjacent to the Samuel H Boardman State Park and the Oregon Coastal Trail traverses the property. World-class hiking directly from our community including the flowered private trail and the Oregon Coastal Trail that meanders through the fern / coastal forest.
We pride ourself on providing a comfortable, clean and constantly upgraded living space while the location allows our guests access to world-class outdoor activity.
Fish directly from the private beach, surf perch to the whitewater south and Rock Fish to the West / Southwest. Lone Ranch beach is 1/2 mile north and provides an excellent opportunity to Kayak (rentals available in Brookings). Unparalleled freshwater fishing on the Winchuk - 8 mi, Chetco - 4 mi and Smith River 25 mi is at your doorstep while saltwater fishing charters can be booked at Brookings Harbor - 4 mi.
If you decide to venture out, visit the wild beaches at Pistol River - 17 mi North. Several professional windsurfing events are held here and the drift wood piles make it especially interesting. Pistol River also provides solid entry points for kayaking down this calm river. 7 miles north is Gold Beach and the Rogue River, catch a jet boat from Jerry's Rogue Jets (at the harbor) for a truly memorable experience. Brookings is a a quaint community with several good restaurants and shops for anything that you would need.
Other points of interest include Redwood National Park - 40 mi, Jedediah Smith St Park - 25 miles, Oregon Caves National Monument - 87 miles, Mt Ashland Snow Skiiing - 137 miles and Crater Lake National Park - 198 miles.

About the host
Hosted by Dana Barrow

My wife and I live in the Northern California foothills and enjoy travel, art (her), fishing (me) and old cars (me). I work in the technology field and my wife is an accomplished ceramic artist. I originally hailed from Mobile Alabama and my wife from Baltimore Md. We enjoy trips to the California and Oregon coast and this unit exceeded everything that we could have wanted. We look forward to hosting you.
Why they chose this property
We search the Gulf Coast and West Coast from Hawaii to California to Washington. Found that the location at Rainbow Rock was perfect, close enough to town but will secluded. Unparalleled ocean views, outstanding owners, pride of ownership and world-class location. Unit itself, at 1100sf, provides right amount of space while not being overwhelming. Fishing, hiking, relaxing, kayaking, boating, National Parks - it's all right here.
What makes this property unique
Quiet community, close to town of Brookings. We have traveled extensively and can honestly say that this is the most relaxing place we have ever stayed. One of the best locations to whale watch during the Gray whale season.
