Mark was very kind and helpful. His response back was quick. The house was stocked with almost anything you may need to use. Loved the cute little kitties running around outside. Would stay again if I'm back in the area.
Fantastic pool. Great owner to work with. Highly recommend this owner and his son Gareth for lodging AND/or hunting (if you are also looking for that). These are salt of the earth guys who work VERY hard. They really rolled out the red carpet for our group. Property was fantastic, clean, lots of instructions greeting us to make our stay easy and comfortable and they surprised us with some fantastic “extra” touches that really meant a lot to our group. You won’t find nicer hosts who are more in tune with providing a world class experience for their guests (and fun, world class cats) than Mark, Gareth and Reagan.
This was a great place for our family of 8 to spend 2 nights so we could attend Hyllingsfest in nearby Lindsborg. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equiped and the sunrises/sunsets were spectacular. Mark was easy to get in touch with when we had a question. We'd recommend this house.
We had a wonderful girls getaway at this location. The house was spacious, clean and easy to find. The privacy of the pool was great and the host was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to questions. Loved it!
This property was a nice place for a weekend getaway with our family. We spent a full day out in the pool and patio area enjoying the peaceful farm surroundings and warm pool water. The host was very nice and easy to work with. This is a good place for families or groups looking for a rural, quiet setting.
Absolutely loved our stay. We had everything we needed in kitchen and everything else. Notes were very helpful. Met owner he was super nice. We left him some bbq and wedding cupcakes. Would love to stay again in future.
Mark did a fabulous job in communication. Our entire family loved this place. I've rented many VRBOs and this house was one of our favorites. Welcoming, farm-like house with 5 full bedrooms to accommodate all 9 of us. Hope to rent it again next time we are all out that way.
The house was exactly as expected. The owner was very respectful and responsive to questions. Comfortable and easy. Great rental for a family get together highly recommend
Great house with plenty of size, we had a large family in the area to watch HS State Wrestling, this house had plenty of room for the whole family to spend the evening together at 1 location. We went into Solomon to Nosey Rosey’s for dinner and drinks, the mozz sticks were amazing.
Very welcoming! Very clean! Property owner was very nice and easy to talk to for any needs. Kids loved the pool. Only complaint was the info said there was a hot tub and there was not. Everything we needed to cook breakfast was there for us to use
We loved our stay! The pool was a huge hit, and the house was perfect for our family gathering. The large table was great for meals and game nights, and there were plenty of chairs inside and out for everyone to relax. The pool speakers were fun. We loved connecting to Bluetooth and listening to music while swimming. The fire pit was another favorite, and the BBQ grill worked great. We even grilled during a rainy day thanks to the covered gazebo. The coffee maker was excellent, too!The house stayed cool the entire time, and we never ran out of hot water despite everyone showering. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Our host even shared some farm-fresh beef with us for one of our grilling nights, which was delicious and such a thoughtful gesture.A few notes for future guests: the flies and mosquitoes are bad (and annoying) in the summer, but that’s just Kansas! Bring bug spray or a bug fogger if you’ll be spending lots of time outdoors. There are outdoor cats that visit often. They were friendly and caused no issues for us. Also, pets have been in the house before. It didn’t bother us at all and seemed fitting for a hunting lodge, but it’s worth mentioning for those with sensitivities. We loved the hunting and farm decor. It felt very Kansas! The kids said the only thing that could make the house better would be a set of bunk beds.Overall, this is a wonderful place for families to gather, relax, and make memories together. Thanks for the fun stay!
When I was searching for a vacation rental for our five grandkids, I wanted a private pool with a diving board—and this place was just right. I was also happy with the reasonable cost. The pictures on the website do not fully capture how lovely it is in person. Yellow and pink honeysuckle grew abundantly around the pool, filling the area with a wonderful aroma. Occasionally, there were cats and kittens in the backyard, and my grandkids absolutely fell in love with them! It was my husband’s birthday during our stay, so we visited Amanda’s Bakery and Bistro in Abilene for breakfast and to celebrate with a cake. Their excellent online reviews are well deserved! The local restaurant in Solomon served huge portions, and the food was delicious. A previous visitor had left the doors open, which let flies in, so the owner had an extra fly-removal item delivered to the home. Thanks, Mark! It was great working with you!
we had a very nice stay - the house was very clean and well stocked. Mark was great and my son really enjoyed the pool. We used this as a base for visiting Abilene and it was extremely convenient.
