Really enjoyed staying in this home. The owner (Shelly) was very attentive and helpful. There were six of us, and we all slept comfortably and had no issues. Location is great and in close proximity to anything we wanted to do in Dearborn, downtown and relatively close to Ann Arbor as well. Also easy drive to/from the airport. Would stay here again.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m truly happy to hear that you and your group were comfortable and enjoyed your stay at The Venice Connection. It means a lot to know the location and accommodations worked so well for everything you had planned.
You were a wonderful group to host, and I’d absolutely love to welcome you back anytime your travels bring you to the area again.
Wishing you all safe travels and hope to host you again soon!
We stayed for a week to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and the house truly felt like home! It is beautifully decorated, well stocked with everything you need and so much more. The owners have created a warm, charming, comfortable space - close to many attractions in Metro Detroit - we will be back!
The hosts were excellent communicators. They checked in to ensure our comfort. They provided a dog-friendly environment on the first floor and in the backyard. The property is comfortable and well-maintained. We couldn't be happier about our stay in this lovely home.
I rented out your place, but due to health issues was not able to stay there. My niece and nephew were planning to travel with us. They stayed and said they really enjoy the house and would probably stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay in this charming Dearborn home. The space was exceptionally clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed with up-to-date decor and small touches that made it feel welcoming and comfortable. The owner was highly responsive and attentive, which made the entire experience seamless. The location was also idea - convenient and well situated for getting around the metro area. Stayed for the Christmas holiday to spend time with family in the greater Detroit area. We would absolutely recommend this rental and would gladly stay again.
I booked this vrbo for a family weekend with my sisters family and it did not disappoint. This is a beautiful home nestled in a lovely neighborhood.Ronnie and Shelly were excellent hosts! Having the yard was wonderful; we built a fire in the fire pit and made smores. The kitchen was well equipped with a fully stocked coffee bar, and there were cookies waiting for us when we arrived. This was one of the best vrbo experiences we've had.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re absolutely thrilled to hear that your family weekend was everything you hoped for and more. It means a lot to us that you enjoyed the home, the cozy fire pit, and especially the cookies from Mi Cookie Project — they’re one of our favorite local treats to share! We’re so glad the kitchen and coffee bar helped make your stay comfortable and easy. Hosting you and your family was a true pleasure, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime.
Warmly,
Shelly & Ronnie
Shelly and Ronnie have thought of everything! The house is so cute and decorated so well! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I can be a bit picky, I would stay here again if we are back in Dearborn. I wish we could have stayed longer. It was perfect for my husband and me and our 2 grown sons for our son’s wedding weekend. It is conveniently located very close to Lovett Hall and Greenfield Village and the highways too.

Excellent accommodations! Owner available quickly for minor issues. Beautifully decorated and all the extras you can think of: arrival cookies, new dog toys for our pet to use, large yard for dogs and kids to romp, close to many fine restaurants, museums, parks, walking trails, bakeries, and attractions. Wonderful community, with activities also at local community college (culinary arts luncheon) and university of MI-dearborn, ( art gallery and environmental center, walking trails and Henry Ford estate).

Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the accommodations and that the little extras — from cookies to dog toys — made your stay more comfortable and fun. It’s great to hear your furry granddog had room to play in the yard, and we’re thrilled you were able to explore so many of the wonderful nearby attractions, parks, and hidden gems. We truly appreciate you choosing to stay with us and would love to welcome you back.

A very nice home. I was a little concerned that the home owner se3med somewhere wary of us ?? Wanted to come over for different reasons ie... wanting to come over in the middle of out stay to measure a wall for the next guests. Was off putting.

Linda, thank you for giving us an opportunity to host you at our property. I am truly sorry to hear that our request to stop by during your stay felt off-putting in any way. Please know it was never a matter of distrust - we were genuinely happy to have you as our guest.
The timing was simply related to a narrow window we had to prepare for an incoming reservation, and I needed a measurement for a new sofa bed. That said, I absolutely understand how this could have disrupted the sense of privacy you expected, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
You were a wonderful guest, and we would gladly welcome you back anytime. Again, thank you for staying with use and for your honest feedback - it helps us continue to improve the guest experience.
Warm regards,
Shelly Reichlin
The Venice Connection
We absolutely loved our stay at the Venice Connection in Dearborn! From the moment we walked in, the décor stood out—cozy, stylish, and clearly designed with care. The fully stocked coffee bar and kitchen (complete with spices) made it easy to cook our favorite Italian and Korean meals. The hosts even asked for our favorite cookies ahead of time—and had them waiting for us at check-in!Our dogs had the best time running around the fenced-in backyard, and we appreciated the provided pet cleanup supplies. The Dearborn Room became our go-to space—pet-friendly, with couch covers that let our pups relax with us, and a beautiful desk that made working remotely a breeze. The thoughtful addition of local maps and recommendations showed how much the hosts care. The basement had everything we needed: washer/dryer, laundry supplies, and even a stylish bar area (perfect for our MoHead Y’all podcast video shoot). The neighborhood was quiet and welcoming, and the location was close to everything we wanted to do—including the Royal Oak Taco Fest.We felt completely at home and can’t wait to return next year. Highly recommend this property and its incredible hosts!

About the host
Hosted by Shelly Reichlin
Ronnie and Shelly are celebrating 10 joyful years of marriage, blending their roots as a Chicagoan (Ronnie) and a Michigan native (Shelly). Their journey led them to purchase their first VRBO in Sturgis, Michigan—a lakefront property chosen while they were dating for its perfect halfway point between Detroit and Chicago. Despite their friendly sports rivalry (White Sox vs. Tigers, Blackhawks vs. Red Wings), they've united over a shared love for University of Michigan hockey—Go Wolverines!
As proud parents to two playful mini Bernedoodles, Ronnie and Shelly share a love for travel, often staying in VRBOs during their adventures. Their experiences as travelers have taught them the importance of comfort and attention to detail, shaping their motto: “Vacations are few and far between, so they should be the best experience possible.” With a passion for hosting and creating memorable spaces, they enjoy entertaining family, friends, and guests in their homes, ensuring every stay feels welcoming and special.
Why they chose this property
Our property stands out for its prime location and thoughtful amenities. Conveniently situated just off the Southfield Freeway near I-94, it offers quick access to Detroit, Metro Airport, Dearborn’s Amtrak station, major roads and attractions. Nestled off Oakwood Boulevard, the house is mere minutes from iconic destinations like Greenfield Village and The Henry Ford, as well as Michigan Avenue, known for its trendy restaurants and the local gem, Westborn Market.
Additionally, its proximity to Oakwood Hospital makes it an excellent choice for traveling nurses and physicians seeking a comfortable, convenient place to stay. A standout feature is the fenced-in yard, perfect for guests with pets. As dog owners ourselves, we love watching our pets run and play freely in the spacious yard, making it a true retreat for both people and pets alike.
