The home was very inviting with a large living area where our group could hang out. We loved the hot tub and the outside areas. Our only disappointment was that the river was low at this time of year, end of August, so we had to sit in it instead of swimming in it unless we drove to find a swimming area.

The cleanest, most well stocked rental we have stayed in. Each level of the property is a whole new experience. The hot tub, the smores, watching wildlife on the lower dock. We saw fox and deer at dusk. So peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Suzi was a wonderful host and provided everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Her home is in a beautiful location with River access. It was also a perfect location for visiting the Fungi Festival, Armstrong Redwoods, and champagne tasting at Korbel Cellars. We look forward to a return visit!

Such a comfortable home! Even on a rainy weekend we had such a great time hot tubbing and enjoying the view. So many great amenities for families too. The board games bikes were a highlight for sure!

Our 3 day stay in this lovely house was just perfect! My daughters and I did the Sonoma Treehouse Zipline adventure (close by, near Occidental) and found this house along the Russian River to complete our vacation. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked (including coffee), the back deck was a wonderful place to sit quietly and watch the river flow by. I had to try my hand at one of the kayaks and since the water was low in June, the current was just right to paddle nearby. Communication with the hosts was excellent. We ate at several local restaurants and highly recommend Saucy Mama's. Guerneville's businesses are mostly closed on Tuesdays, so while we waited for the check in time, we visited Korbel for some champagne tasting. Definitely need to visit Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Preserve just a few miles away and for a fun time with family, Safari West has animals to visit (we fed the giraffes!).

Fun winter getaway

Our family enjoyed a cozy winter weekend with a fire and s’mores. We also explored the coast and Armstrong State Park. We highly recommend this house with a great host!

Enjoyable Stay Near Wine Country

We had a great time staying at this house. Lovely and cozy house. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a stash of kitchen essentials like cooking oil and spices. Hot tub was great at the end of the day.

Lovely property. Well appointed and well maintained. Great for a relaxing trip or one full of activities. Plenty to do at the house or in the surrounding area. Seamless arrival and departure with thorough pleasant communications from the host. Spent the week as a couple, but the house would be great if we had brought the kids. Highly recommend this place if you're looking to stay in this area.

Charming house in a great location on the river

We had a lovely stay at Zin and Zen! It’s so nice to just sit on the patio or in the hot tub looking down at the river. The house is charming and comfortable. It is very well appointed with everything you could possibly need inside and out. Very comfortable beds too! Great communication with Suzi. We heartily recommend this lovely house and will definitely stay here again.

A true gem

My friends and I enjoyed our stay immensely! The house was darling, very clean and had all of the amenities. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed several meals on the deck, surrounded by the lush vegetation. Another plus was the location, which was close to hiking at Armstrong Woods, river time at Johnson's Beach and downtown. The hosts were easy to contact and responsive to questions. I highly recommend this property.

Gals weekend

The 4 Moms enjoyed a weekend away. Kitchen was well equipped and the hot tub was spacious. Quiet and no one to pick up after except ourselves. We enjoyed cooking, wine, and chatting. The perfect place. We will be back.

Peaceful getaway

We enjoyed our mini getaway to Zin and Zen. The house is lovely, well-appointed and surrounded by trees which makes you feel like you are nestled in a forest. To enjoy the river we walked down the stairs to the dock and laid out some towels. From there we enjoyed watching the water and plentiful birds; we jumped in the river for swims and took the kayaks out for lovely paddles!

Relax in the Redwoods

Zin and Zen is everything we were looking for. A clean, cute, exceptionally well equipped and maintained cottage located next to the Russian River. Next door to the ocean and wine county and in the middle of a redwood forest. It has cable television but we went the entire week without ever turning it on. Warm days, cool mornings and evenings made for a great family vacation..

Heaven on Earth!

Zin and Zen is seriously heaven on earth or heaven on the river! Even though it is in a dense neighborhood you feel like you are out in a lush forest alone. The tree canopy overhead, the river below, the beautiful home, the lush greenery, butterflies and birds galore…We can’t wait to go back!! Amazing!

Beyond what I even hoped for!!! This place was beautiful! clean, nice decor, provided with everything you could possibly need! Bigger than I thought! Easy stairs to the river. The water was deep and clean, and the area was very secluded so there was no boats or lots of traffic. It was an excellent time!
