Renovated 2-bed 2 bath home with Pool, Garage, just a bike ride to Siesta Key!

Relax and Unwind in Sarasota at this adorable house. With 2 bedrooms including a king in bedroom #1 and queen bed in bedroom #2, 2 bathrooms with shower amenities, and essential features like WiFi and AC. Guests can relax in this peaceful retreat with a pool and fenced back yard. This home has an apartment that has a separate entrance on the left hand side of the house. We have an annual tenant who lives there and only shares the driveway. They do NOT share any other parts of the home, pool, garage or common areas.
We have owned the house for 25 years and have rented it only as an annual rental. After renovating it, we decided to rent it as a VRBO. We have another property that has been a VRBO rental for many years that has a VRBO rating of "EXCEPTIONAL" based on guest feedback. Super easy check in and out. Host was wonderful and very responsive. The location was spectacular…1.1 miles from the Siesta Key public access. The home was spacious and clean, as well as well stocked!

It was a great place to have a relaxing long weekend trip! The pool was amazing and so warm. I love the garage had some beach essentials like umbrella, floats, and coolers. Our host checked in a few times to make sure we didn’t need anything.

Awesome Property!

My boys and I stayed here for spring break. The location was absolutely perfect for us. We could be to the beach in 10 min, and we were 10 min or so from several really good restaurants. We loved the house, it was really nice, very clean, and having the pool to enjoy whenever we wanted was great. We would definitely rent this property again!

Excellent location for visiting Siesta Key. Easy 10 minute drive, close to south bridge. Great restaurants within 10 minutes, for upscale at the marina to laid back Owen's Fish Camp. Excellent hosts, made it very easy for a first time VRBO user. House well furnished with updated kitchen if you want to cook n entertain. Many thanks to our host.

Relaxing Get Away

Hosts were super quick to respond to text messages. We were able to check-in early. The house was perfect for 2, could definitely accommodate 2 more. Beautiful neighborhood, easy walk to a nearby park with water views. Would highly recommend this place! And if we come back to the area, we will book again.

David, our Vrbo Host, was very easy to communicate with. He provided great pre- and post-instructions, which made staying here a breeze. The house was spotless and comfortable. It offered many amenities, including pool toys (floats, vests), Bicycles, and beach umbrellas. Pack your toothbrush and come on over. Great Wi-Fi connection and Internet service. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and friendly. Will return when visiting Sarasota.

Home away from home!

Me and my sister loved our stay here and will definitely be back! Great location (big plus it’s super close to Dunkin donuts!), clean cozy home with lots of space, and just a scenic walk away from Captain Curt’s. We didn’t need a car at all for our stay here! They had bikes which made for such a fun relaxing weekend of biking from Turtle beach to the village and back to our hearts content. Going to bring our whole family next time:) thanks for everything!

Great communication

The property owner was on a flight when we arrived which cause a bit of a delay in the check in but owner was apologetic and quick to rectify any issues we had. Pictures are accurate and area is perfect. There were plenty of beach supplies available to use as well. i.e. floaties, coolers, umbrella, chairs, etc. Great experience I highly recommend.

Great short vacation

We stayed at this property from Sunday to Thursday. It was better than advertised. It looks like it was just updated. We communicated with the owners a few times and they were extremely responsive. I noticed that one of the toilets was running and they came that day and fixed it. I would highly recommend this property and the owners.

Cozy house, beautiful views, wonderful hosts!

Book this house! You won't be disappointed at all. It is the perfect distance from the beach but far enough that you still have your privacy away from all the people at the beach. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful backyard and an inground pool. The owners are extremely accommodating and responsive. They have thought of everything you can think of at the house that you will need to stay there. The beach chairs and bicycles were very much appreciated and used very much. Thank you, David and Molly, for making our Spring Break trip such a wonderful time! We will certainly be back!

The furnishings inside were odd. Not enough chairs for table to seat 6. No side tables in one bedroom with an odd machine beside bed that was difficult to navigate around. Soaps and detergents in small jars so not easily spotted to use.

Great Location!!

My husband and I stayed here a few nights to be near Siesta Key which is super expensive this time of year. The house is fully stocked and very clean. Bed is comfy and its located in a quiet neighborhood. There are restaurants within walking distance and you are right off the main strip which has everything you would need. The pool is nice to have but our temps didn't allow us to swim as its not heated but if it was hot I would have been in there! You could get to Siesta Key via the bikes or drive BUT we drove over there and it took over an hour to get back due to the traffic backup. Plan accordingly. This house is perfect for a family or like us to work remotely and chill.

Goed, maar kan beter

Op zich prima prijs/kwaliteitverhouding en vooral de ligging is top. Rustige buurt op circa 10 min fietsen van strand.Huis en inrichting is prima, al zie je op sommige plekken dat het een ouder gerenoveerd huis is. Persoonlijk had ik dan nog meer zaken vernieuwd om het helemaal spic en span te maken. Zo zat er bijvoorbeeld een gat in de hordeur van de veranda (dan heeft de rest van de horren ook geen nut meer), waren er geen ligbedden bij het zwembad (ja 1, maar zonder kussens).Qua instructies kan het met kleine aanpassingen ook beter. Zo lukte het niet om de garage van binnen open te maken. Tevens wilden we, zoals gewenst door de eigenaar, de vuilcontainers buiten zetten, maar het lukte niet om de tuindeur van binnenuit open te krijgen. Zet dat in de map met instructies en het voorkomt veel twijfel en vragen.Wat echt heel fijn was, waren de 3 fietsen die de eigenaar voor ons heeft klaar gezet. Daarmee zijn we naar het strand gefietst. Andere pluspunten waren de prima bedden, de uitgebreide keukenfaciliteiten en de strandspullen die we konden gebruiken zoals luchtbedden en parasol.Grootste tegenvaller waren de vele rattenkeutels in de garage, in de veranda en zelfs een paar in de slaapkamer achter de mobiele airco. Dat gaf echt geen fijn en schoon gevoel, met name bij mijn partner en dochter die daar meteen angstige gevoelens door kregen. Ik heb dit via de VRBO app aangegeven, maar kreeg daar geen reactie op, wat ik wel had verwacht bij zo'n serieus probleem.

/De manera general la pasamos muy bien.La casa es confortable, amplia, clara y bonita. Solo que al ser una casa pet-friendly, el sofa y sus cojines tenian cierta suciedad, de forma que los lave en la lavadora para poderlos disfrutar (los cojines). Escogi una sabana para colocarla por encima del sofa para poderme sentar en el. Otra cosa que pudiera agregar es la falta de utensilios para cocinar, como ollas y cazuelas. estabamos en familia y pasamos cierto trabajo para cocinar, porque habian apenas una olla pequena, una grande, y un solo sarten. Por lo demas, todo estuvo bien. solo sugiero que estos dos problemas que menciono sean sugerencias para esta casa, para poder regresar y disfrutar mucho mas de ella. Las camas y la ropa de cama muy limpias. Pero la recomiendo a pesar de estos problemas.

Why they chose this property

This home is just three blocks from the intercoastal waterway. Centrally located just off of US 41 within a block of the Phillippi Mansion and Park. Just a quick 2 mile bike ride to Siesta Key which has been awarded the #1 beach in the world by Dr. Beach. Walk to Simon's for breakfast or lunch.
