Enjoy your morning coffee in the sunroom. The kitchen is well equipped for home cooked meals. Spend your evening by the fire. Matt has an ample supply of wood. In fact Matt seems to have thought of most everything to make your stay comfortable. Well done.
Fantastic weekend at this cabin. It's fully furnished and the amenities are a step above — the outdoor fire pit was stocked and ready when we arrived. It's beautifully decorated and genuinely comfortable. The host was easy to work with and sent everything we needed ahead of time, so both check-in and check-out were seamless. The location was better than we expected: secluded and quiet, but only a few minutes from downtown Petoskey and an easy drive to Lake Charlevoix and several state parks. We had everything we needed and came home relaxed. Highly recommend.
My family really enjoyed our stay at Rod's Place! The home was very clean and welcoming. The outside area was neat a and tidy as well and offered a peaceful place to relax. We saw a few deer come through too!Mike was great at communicating and promptly informed us of check in process and instructions.Thank you!
Everything was amazing! A great place to stay with all the amenities. Everything was so well thought out as far as anything you would need. And it’s an absolutely adorable little house! Matt was also super helpful and had prompt responses. Look forward to returning some day!
We loved our stay at Rod’s place! So cozy and comfortable! Amenities were great! I forgot shampoo/conditioner and was so happy to see it stocked along with soap! I wish I could have stayed longer but I will definitely be back!
We had a lovely stay at this cabin. It’s quaint and cozy but the spaces are not at all cramped or tight. It was spotless clean and very comfortable and had everything we needed. We’d definitely recommend and would stay again. The location is close to so many places to explore. Boyne, Charlevoix, Mackinac Island.
2nd year in a row staying here for our family's winter getaway over Valentines Weekend. Place was immaculate as it was last year. Owners are very responsive and accommodating. They put in a fire pit outside so we had a fire while the kids played in the snow piles. So enjoyable. Can't wait for next year!
Why does this place have no reviews (of course until today)!? It is fantastic! Walk in and it has plenty of hooks and space for winter clothes. Place still smells brand new. Nice, cozy little living room. Hosts were nice enough to get out toddler books, toys, plates and plastic cups, and baby monitor for our twin 3yr olds. They put all the cleaners away and non toddler friendly stuff. Place was beyond spotless, trust me, I looked. Everything in the kitchen was great quality, pots, pans etc. Sometimes when I've gone places the dishes look like they were bought second hand. These were great. I didn't feel like I had to re-wash diahes before using them. Though it was funny because the big sized plates don't fit in the dishwasher, so we handwashed those. Plenty of blankets, pillows and linen. Everything was super neat and organized. Downstairs bed was nice a soft. Upstairs bed was a little firm for my taste but everyone is different on those. Sun room was nice to sit in and watch the snow fall and watch the partridge we found. So peaceful. Snowed basically nonstop, they came and plowed while we were there. Can't say enough good things about this place and the hosts. My favorite vrbo/air b&b I've ever stayed at. We will be back next February for a family birthday party who lives a mile up the road!
