About this property

College Heights Apt - Spacious 1BR, Full Kitchen, 2 Min Drive to Campus

Our updated College Heights apartment is 6 blocks from west Penn State campus and the Nittany Lion Inn and 1.5 blocks from the PSU golf course and walking/biking trail. Our quiet street is lined with large oak trees. Located on the lower floor of our single-family home, this separate apartment features a spacious bedroom with a king bed and a roll away bed for 3rd person, living room, full kitchen, modern bathroom with shower, and laundry room. Guests will enjoy the walk-out basement apartment with separate entrance, windows in each room providing lots of natural light, and a large fenced-in back yard with sitting areas and a propane fire pit.

We live on the separate main floor of the home. Because we have two young children, please be aware that you may be able to hear noise or little feet running on the floor above at times. They are usually asleep from 8/9pm - 7/8am.

We had a great stay! Rebecca was very responsive with communication. She provided treats and drinks for arrival. One of the highlights was spring water from their farm. Many amenities for kitchen and bathroom were provided. Hope to visit again.

Great location for NSO

We stayed here for our daughter’s freshman NSO and it was the perfect location. Loved the neighborhood and the space was adequate for the time we spent there. The homeowner was very understanding of our delayed flight and late arrival and even left us snacks!

Great location, quiet area, clean property.

This location is very ideal for anyone looking for a place to stay near Penn state campus that is family friendly. We needed a place to stay for a wrestling tournament at bjc, the property was so easy to get to and from. The living areas were well maintained and up to date. I would recommend for anyone.

A gem just a few min from campus

We visited PSU to attend the famous student run fundraiser THON and support our son who was a dancer. We love the set up of the apartment and the location so close to campus. It is nicely designed, had everything we needed, and we greatly appreciated the regular communication with the owner.

We stayed here for two nights while we were moving our daughter to Penn State. This place is very close to the school and many restaurants and stores. The well-lit entrance to the back led you to a nice backyard area where you enter the unit. The space was clean and nicely decorated. There was a cot we used for our daughter. The master bed was very comfortable. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable space to stay in State College.

We had a nice stay at Rebecca’s apartment. We were greeted with a bowl of tasty treats (nuts, granola bars, packets of oatmeal, etc.), fresh spring water in the fridge, and protein shakes! Kitchen is clean and well-equipped with dishwasher, coffee machine, etc. The king-sized bed and sheets are very comfortable. Nittany Lion Inn is approximately a fifteen minute walk away so we opted to drive to campus to save some time. Home is in a lovely neighborhood. We would recommend Rebecca’s place.

The apartment was clean, good location and the stay was seamless. Looked like nice outside space but too cold for us right now! Host mentioned they had children up above, but we never heard any noise.

Great first stay

We were looking for a place in State College to attend a Penn State event. With all the hotels having limited availability and high prices we decided to try this out. It was a great first experience. The apartment was the perfect size for us, located in a quiet neighborhood only minutes away from downtown. The owner was very communicative. Got great sleep- the bed was as comfortable. Shower with good water pressure and temperature. Didn’t really use the kitchen except the refrigerator but seemed to have anything we would have needed. TVs in bedroom and living room which was nice. No issues at all. Directions to the property were great. Was also clean and neat.

Why they chose this property

We are very close to campus, without being on a college student street. You can walk to PSU campus in 15 minutes. Our neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, and our street is lined with huge oak trees. A block away, our street ends at the Penn State golf course, around which there is a paved walking/biking trail that winds all around State College.
