Your "home away from home" retreat awaits in Celina, Ohio. Our cottage directly on the lakes edge is perfect for romantic getaways, small families or friends that really like each other! You're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay here at Al's Place!
This 2-bedroom cottage features a queen bed, twin bed, and a full bed, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. With amenities including an equipped kitchen, AC, heat, Wi-Fi, and a washer/dryer, your stay will be stress-free; a hotel like stay in comfort with the feel and privacy of being in a home. Relax in this quaint, 105-year-old lake side cabin after a day of exploring the area or fishing. Wake to lake views from either bedroom, then enjoy your morning drink of choice on the deck!
With the warmer temperatures, we’ve put the fishing pier back in the water, giving you easy access to drop in a line and spend time on the water all season long. You can cast from the pier or the shore rocks, and the warmer water makes for excellent fishing throughout the day.
Bring your kayaks or paddleboards and go exploring right off the back yard! It is a wonderful time for watching the wildlife as a variety of birds fill the area, including the graceful American White Pelicans, Bald Eagles and Great Blue Heron.
We don't believe in a long check out list of things to do and encourage you to book your grand lake side escape today to enjoy some fresh air and water side views soon!
We have been adding updates and special touches over the last year of owning Al's Place and are continuing to improve this charming, little, old home with a unique floor plan right on the lake. This winter we painted and put new caulk in the bathroom. Plus, in the large bedroom we have painted, added bigger windows for an enhanced view and fresh air breezes, along with all new flooring! Guests love it and we hope you have a wonderful getaway in our lakeside town during your stay with us, too.

Al's Place is a beautiful little cottage sitting right on the water. The host has gone out of her way to include everything you could possibly need, and the decor is fun too. You will feel a sense of vacation inside and out. The kind host was helpful in suggesting local places to enhance your trip as well. We will definitely be back!

We are so glad you enjoyed Al’s Place and look forward to your next visit for more #LakeTime‼️
This was our third stay at this home. The accommodations were everything we were looking for; for a quiet, relaxing getaway. There were some updates/renovations since our last visit but it is still a nice little hideaway. Like I've said in a previous review. The bed is newer, but extremely firm. Too firm for my back. So we bring a foam mattress pad to put on the bed; an easy fix. Bren has been the perfect hostess all three visits and has made them great experiences.
Our hostess Bren is Super. She was very friendly, accommodating, and quick to reply to messages. She even reached out to us that we could check-in early and left us coffee, creamer, filtered water, and cookies for our arrival. The house was spotlessly clean, and we had everything we needed for a great stay. This was our first stay at Al's Place and before the end of our first day we were already discussing plans for another visit to this super cute little house on the lake with great views and peaceful quiet location.

The house is very welcoming, it had everything we needed plus more, the view outstanding! I was greatly impressed with how quickly the owner responded to our needs - I have never had a more accommodating, friendly host!
House was wonderfully located and exactly as described in listing. Bren was super communicative throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, and left us some coffee and cookies! Everything was super clean and all essentials were provided. Great stay!

The host was very welcoming. She allowed us to check in early, and she brought us cookies. She provided us with a list of activities in the area, and she was quick to respond. The views are beautiful. It is a cozy little place. It was quiet and very clean. It was a great place to enjoy time with my family.
Very quiet and relaxing. Minimal contact with neighbors (who were polite and respectful). This was our second stay at this location and we are planning on a third.
This home was absolutely adorable. The view and back porch right on the lake was stunning!! Our favorite part was watching the Bald Eagles which roosted in the trees very close by!Host was very nice and accommodating. We look forward to staying here again!!
