Thank you for the lovely review. Glad the home felt like a dream and worked so well for your family and friends in every season — that corner of Vermont is special. Hope to welcome you back.
The peace and quiet here was wonderful. Plenty of comfy beds, lots of towels, roomy kitchen, big bathrooms. Excellent views with pretty sunsets and the fire pit area was cozy. There were basic everyday appliances to use, but make sure you bring your own coffee filters, seasonings, all the little things you might not think of. The manager was easy to communicate with, especially when our keypad entry didn't work. The well water took some time to adjust to the smell, as it is not pleasant but others might be okay with it. Overall, a nice escape from the city life.

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review. It’s good to know the quiet setting, comfortable beds, spacious kitchen and bathrooms, views, and cozy fire pit made for a relaxing escape. We appreciate the notes about supplies, the well-water smell, and the keypad entry, and will keep them in mind. We’re glad communication was easy when you needed help.

Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that the home was comfortable for your group and that you enjoyed the beautiful view. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!
Beautiful location and view in a comfortable get-away lodge. If you want to get away from the tourists and see the natural beauty, this is a great spot.
To clarify, communication was excellent until we had a problem and then it was terrible. The water to the property was out for over 19 hours, yes you read that correctly. It took nine emails, calls and texts to finally get someone. After all of this, they offered a late checkout. Ultimately, the management group took 100 off of the stay. No water for 28% of the rental and I mean NO water at all. We had to go into town for a bathroom. I will never stay at one of Field & Farm vacation rentals again. There was no coffee, tea, etc. Mildew smells in the lower level. As I shared, poor communication and then the lack of understanding disrespectful. I would be cautious about this group.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. I’m very sorry about the prolonged water outage.
We did offer late checkout and reduced the reservation total by $100, but I know that didn’t make up for the inconvenience. I’m also sorry about the missing coffee/tea and the mildew smell in the lower level.
We’ve shared your feedback with our local operations, maintenance, and housekeeping teams so they can investigate the mildew, restock essentials, and improve our emergency response and communication procedures. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention — your input helps us make improvements.
A group consisting of 2 families with kids stayed at the residence. The house was spacious with sleeping on (3) levels. The primary living space along with the basement family provided more than enough room for relaxing at the house. The rustic farmhouse vibe is well done. The location is what takes this house to the next level. A dirt road leading up a mountain to the home site past a few old farms and barns, a valley view, and the trail network of Saksadena Six a stones throw away. Great spot to experience the beauty of the mountains and rolling hills of Vermont!
In the Woodstock area for a bike race. While the cabin was 15 minutes by car it was 5 minutes on a bike to the venue. Really enjoyed the cabin. It was clean and neat. Beds were comfortable. Even though we couldn’t get the television to work it didn’t seem to matter. The Wi-Fi worked well but outside there was no cell service .
The only drawback was a sulfur smell and taste in the water. Not sure if that can be fixed? Overall the cabin served our needs, we would probably stay again.
