Stunningly Designed Residential with 2 Fireplaces

This lavishly designed space is perfect for group trips, families and retreats. It features a chefs kitchen, a wood burning and electric fireplace, huge backyard, master suite and 3 beautifully designed bedrooms with 3 baths for comfort.


Property is located in East Mt.Airy, with a 10 minute drive to Chestnut Hill where there are cute shops and eateries. Manyunk Main Street is also a 10 minute drive for dining and unique shopping experience. Center City is about a 20-30 minute drive.
The space
Property is about 3000 sq.ft with a large rear yard that can be used for parking towards the rear of the yard. The 2nd floor features a master suite with its own luxury bathroom and wood burning fireplace another very spacious bedroom with a hall bath. The 3rd floor features 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.

It was very clean. When I asked the host a question, I received an almost immediate response. (I don't know why vrbo asked about national parks for the city of Philadelphia.) The property was as advertised - dramatic and elegant furnishings, four bedrooms, three complete bathrooms. Good kitchen. Parking behind the house, with access from the back alley. The front door lock was a little sticky. I felt comfortable there for my mini-family reunion.

This rental truly is stunning! The host was very proactive in reaching out in advance to ensure all check-in instructions were received! The only suggestion I would give is including wi-fi information written somewhere on the property. I had an older friend staying at the property who was less familiar with using apps. When I tried sending her the information through the VRBO app, she struggled to find it. But this place is now my top recommendation for family and friends to visit in the future! Plenty of bathrooms, plenty of rooms, plenty of space, plenty of character, and plenty of quality design touches! The ceilings are huge when you walk in! The front porch is spacious! And the yard out back is great outdoor space! The location is just off Germantown Ave. in the Mt. Airy neighborhood so you can easily walk to shops and restaurants! Or there is plenty of side street parking directly in front of the rental! Love this place! I was jealous I had to go back home while my friends stayed here!

The host was pleasant and we were ultimately grateful for a place to rest our heads, but we likely wouldn't stay again due to some of the issues with cleanliness. Overall the house could do with a bit of cleaning. The front door lock did not work properly at all, so it took us a long time to figure out how to lock it. There was a blow up mattress for extra sleeping but it was dirty. The kitchen was disorganized and dishes were still in the dishwasher upon our arrival, sinks upstairs were not clean, there was no notes as to internet passwords and linens were stained. Again, overall it was not bad, but it wasn't as prepped and guest ready as we would have preferred.
