From moment we walked in we knew we were at our home away from home! Everything was as described and as seen in photos and more, it really was so nice and relaxing. The beach access was perfect, views from our balcony were amazing! We had the best weather the whole week of our stay which just made it all the more the Best Ever! We were right down the street from Mango Marley's, it was so delicious, we ate there several times and it was so good every time! If you go down the road a few miles to Port St. Joe you have to try out Ship Wreck, we Loved it, everything we had there was so good! We even had it one morning for breakfast, All in all this was by far a 5 star experience and we would definitely stay at Smokey's again! Thank you to our Amazing host Scott for sharing his Gorgeous property with us!

Garbage disposer didn't work and the elevator didn't work when we were leaving. Had to lug many bags downstairs. This needs to be fixed - one in our party has serious mobility problems. Otherwise, everything was very nce. Beach view was fabulous.

My first time to Mexico Beach. This is a wonderful place to stay. The condo is very nice, clean and has plenty of amenities. From the balcony are great views of the water and gorgeous sunsets. Just steps from the beach. Our host Scott responded quickly to any questions I had. Would stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

We had a great stay at Smokey’s Sunset. The condo was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and in a great location with easy beach access. The beach itself was beautiful and much less crowded than many of the larger Florida beach destinations, which was exactly what we were looking for.Scott and Katie were excellent hosts. Communication was outstanding from the time we booked until checkout. They proactively reached out with local recommendations, check-in information, and even arranged for an early check-in when the opportunity came up. It made the whole trip easy and stress-free.We especially appreciated all the local restaurant suggestions. If you’re looking for a quieter, laid-back beach town without the high-rises and crowds, Mexico Beach is worth a visit. We’d definitely stay here again.

Spring Break 2025

Our family of 5 had a great time @ Smokey’s sunset. It’s wonderful to see the Mexico Beach area return after the storm. Our unit was new and well laid out for a family. Great view of the Gulf and the beach restoration looks wonderful!

There were a couple very minor problems with cleanliness (for instance, one bathroom sink didn't look too clean) but overall we are very picky people about cleanliness so I think it might have just been us. Otherwise everything was as described: the photos accurately displayed the space, the kitchen supplies were adequate for the amount of cooking we did, the outdoor patio space was plentiful, the beach view was excellent, the bedrooms had a good bit of space and storage, and beds were comfy. There was also a closet with a ton of beach stuff in it like six beach chairs and children's beach toys. I've been renting on the Forgotten Coast for decades and communicating with this host was the best experience I've ever had. If we decide to go back we would be happy to rent this unit again.

Scott and Katie first enjoyed Mexico Beach in the fall of 2024. It was love at first sight and they toured this condo that very same trip.

Scott and Katie are from a small town in southern middle Tennessee. They often vacationed at the beach but were growing tired of the hustle and bustle of 30-A. Mexico Beach was their first truly relaxing beach trip, even with three small children, and they knew they had to make it a regular thing.

The Beasleys are a family of 5. Will, Jack and Wes love Mexico Beach as much as their parents. Driving monster trucks in the sand, crab hunting at night, and eating alligator tail are at the top of their list for fun things to do.
