Need to clean before the guess arrive. A lot of stuff worn out. The good thing they were fast enough to fix it but I just wish that I come to clean and nice house and clean up pool after long drive from another state.
When we pulled in to the neighborhood we were shocked that we were in a trailer park. With in 30 min the Black Mountain Police were at the front door about 7:30pm. What a welcoming committee. They informed us that Black Mountain was a small town and that the residents do not like outsiders. The Black Mountain Police also informed us of the Noise ordnance they have that starts at 10:30pm and left. I made sure everyone was inside and quiet and promptly at 10:30pm the Black Mountain Police show up at the front door telling us to leave and if we return it will be considered trespassing.

Not quite as described
The property is on a shared drive rhat is difficult to find. The neighbors are very close which you dont see in the listing. Hopefully they have the issues with the pool corrected for your stay as there was no ladder or steps when we arrived and the pump was running but no water circulation or chlorine in the pool. Also a hole in the liner. The grass was long and the landscaping/weeds have not been kept up. Our last evening of our stay the basement flooded when it rained. There were 2 rolls of toilet paper left for 8 people for a week stay. Also no trash bags or paper towels. We made the host aware of these issues but the only issue addressed during our stay was the stairs for the pool, the neighbor came and installed them.

Needs some TLC
Several serious safety issues. Whole section of front porch slats were rotted and unattached at bottom. A child or dog bumping them would go right through (approx 10 feet off ground). An adult leaning on the rail would probably go through as well. Both bathrooms had moldy caulk. Pool heater and skimmer didn't work. A handle of the string lights were burnt out, one was shattered. The pictures of the yard with adirondack chairs and rug were inaccurate. The grill has been moved to the porch and the flooring had become grease stained, with sooty cobwebs hanging over it.One bunk on the lower level stunk of urine. To be fair, we reported the pool issues but the management company said they couldn't get anyone one out, and the lights should work with the burnt out and broken bulbs. I sent the list above to the owner and she seemed genuinely concerned, and promised action would be taken. That and the fact the kids loved the pool, and the fenced in yard worked for the dogs, is why the rating isn't lower. We liked the accessibility to Black Mountain and the little lake. The neighborhood was quiet.
