Awesome host so quick to answer any questions you have. Such a quiet place that you don’t even know you’re in town on a mountain and if you love bears you’ll see plenty of them if all sizes ! So many options for the kiddos too. Game room is awesome! Relaxing hot tub on lower deck was a great way to wind down from a day of site seeing and hiking!
We had the most wonderful stay here! Our whole family including our Grandsons were able to stay under one roof With plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, & parking. The game room was a BIG hit The kids had so much fun! Also , the hot tub was amazing! The kitchen was big and we cooked for every meal. The beds were comfortable.Really Can't say enough good things about this place! We would definitely stay here again!
Nice layout to sleep a large number of guests with privacy for each group. Games in nice shape. Daily bear visits was interesting, please read emails from hosts and take warnings seriously.
Incredible house with more than enough room for my family. Rooms are large and each has its own bathroom. The place was extremely clean and location couldn’t have been better. 5 minute drive to the strip. Will definitely be staying here again.

The house consistently smell like cat urine. Bought a candle to counter the smell it helped, but not much.
The property and cabin were clean. The bears do manage to get into the locker up trash and pull it into the woods right there. It is very roomy here. If you come, use the not steep road. It is a lot easier to drive. We have seen bears up here everyday. We actually watched mama and her 2 cubs climb the tree right outside the cabin. We watched from the porch. Best experience ever! The hot tub was great after walking all day. The game room was loved by all! It is very quiet but neighbors did keep an eye out for bears and gave a warning if they saw one. The only two thing that might need tending to are the doors leading to the balcony. Maybe an arrow on which way to unlock. I know one on the main level you turned the lock to the right to unlock it. Some of the lights and fans have lost their labels. I will be back! My hope was to see one bear and we saw multiple families of mamas and cubs pass through as well as many boars and sows that were alone. 100 Stars for that!If you stay, read the guest book. The stories are hilarious!
A beautiful cabin, area. The bears were pretty intense, since we dont have bears in NE MO. A few helpful observances. The first shower on the right after entring never! got past luke warm. No matter where you turned the knob. The under microwave light did not work. The over the sink light did not work. The downstairs shower curtains were mildewy/moldy. . We couldnt find extra TP. And it would be helpful to know the grill is charcoal. Over all, we had a great stay. And would consider rentng this csbin again if we ever go back to Gatlinburg.
This was a large cabin and each room having it's own bathroom was a big hit. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location was great. All the video games were nice but instructions would have been helpful. The pool table was a hit. It was truly disappointing to see so much trash and garbage outside the cabin and around the property. That should be cleaned up right away. It also would have been helpful to know how to recycle items and what can be recycled. A notebook with information is always a plus, and I would recommend having one at the cabin. We never figured out how to turn on the fireplace or the outside lights hanging near the hot tub.
Communication with host were perfect. Check-in process was easy. Location was amazing. The problem is the place was not very clean. There’s a lot of trash on the outside of the house. It could be on the neighbors property line but it’s still very visible when you arrive to the house. It was very dusty inside. There was a cleaning rag left on the table. The toilet seat was broken . The kitchen trashcan when you remove the bag it is no less than disgusting with dirt/trash/ filth is on the bottom of it.kitchen & table chairs were dusty overall the cabin is very outdated and needs updating and remodeling bad. I would take compared to the prices in the neighborhood and most of the houses that we passed were all pretty new and modern this look like to be the oldest one in the neighborhood that said it was probably the cheapest one so if you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay and you don’t care about an outdated place this is definitely a good value. We personally would rather pay more for cleaner more updated place. The host was very good at communicating and I hope they update the cabin and hold the cleaners accountable to keeping it more cleaner in the future
Location of this property is one of the best thing about this property. Loop rd is pretty much guaranteed to have bears visit - if you drive on loop rd towards or from baskins creek rd. During our stay we pretty much had bear visit us twice a day. There was a day when we had 3 adults and 6 cubs visit front yard. Negatives:Property definitely needs some renovation Decor on the stair is also very old and brokenPool table and Cue ball is ancient - needs replacement. If you only care about location and bear visit: you can book this stay worry free.
We spent a family vacation trip here in June. There were 12 of us, house was a perfect fit. The kids loved the pool table and video games, adults enjoyed the balconies. The hot tub was nice after long days of hiking. It’s only a 5 minute drive to town or the grocery store , and we got to see bears in the neighborhood.
Good communication with the host. Kitchen was set up with a good variety of items. Advise cleaning crew for a more thorough cleaning. Pretty steep road up to the cabin. Definitely needs some updating.
