The house and pool were very nice. Laura was a goodhost; made sure we had plenty of drinking water and was always available to answer all of our questions. The road to her house is a little rough so be sure to have a vehicle with good clearance. Since we were without a car, we used Ace taxi service. He's a great guy who took us wherever we wanted to go. Be sure to have him take you to the chocolate farm and to the butterfly farm. Just ask ask Laura for his contact number.
The property was clean, well equipped and we had everything we needed!!! Laura was a great host! Loved it! Will be the only property we stay at when we go back to PG!
Great option in Punta Gorda IF you have a rental car
Stayed with a friend; we were volunteering with a local organization. We were very glad to have a rental car, as the property is off the beaten path. Advise trying to arrive in daylight hours as it can be a bit hard to find in the dark if you’re not familiar with the area. The property was very clean and very pleasant to stay in. We were in the two-bedroom casita - note that only one of the two bedrooms has air conditioning.
Perfectly described plus more! Laura and the Casitas is the answer to a wonderful stay. Love, love, love everything about the Casitas. Bo Tick!!! (Thank you in Mayan)
I have stayed many places in PG and this is the best one overall. This was a very comfortable safe friendly stay. The beds are great. Not hard as a rock like other places, The pool was refreshing after a long hot day. The kitchen is fully furnished to make all your meals if you want. They also have delivery from their nearby restaurant. Laura is a great host and you can tell by talking to her that she has been in the area a long time. It will be my first choice when I return.
Spent the winter at the casita and it was paradise. The property is beautifully maintained and prettier than the photos. The casita was sparkling clean and the weekly cleaning crew was wonderful. Fresh flower arrangement every week too! The kitchen is fully equipped, even had a blender for our margaritas😀. Town is less than a 30 minute walk (or ride one of the bikes available) and is great for walking, coffee, meals and shopping. Nearest market is only a 15 min walk and a corner store is 5 mins away.
Laura was by far, the most gracious, accommodating, caring host I have ever dealt with. She even brought us a little Christmas tree complete with lights since we were there for the holidays. Everything was perfect from arrival throughout our stay and Laura was friendly and helpful. An absolutely excellent vacation spot to decompress.⭐🌞Definitely will be back again and again!

Beautiful Accomidations in an absolute Beautiful Location
Thomas and Laura went over and beyond. The local
Is amazing and super safe. The people of PG or awesome. The accommodations are far superior to any others seen or considered. Thomas washed our rental Car while we were on excursion. I ran in the morning. Along the ocean and threw down town. Felt very safe. Visited Boom Creek village on our own and loved the people and dogs. Thomas led us to Ashas Custom Kitchen the first night for dinner.
The casita is everthing the pictures show and more. A/C in the bedroom is more then adequate.
Market has fresh fruit and vegetables every day. They advertise the market is open every other but there is always some one there. Also the fish market has catch if the day early morning.
I can not say enough about this location, town and people.

Bryan & Melanie:
thank you so much for the kind words, was an absolute pleasure to have you as our very first guests. We hope that you both return to Belize very soon and find your own slice of heaven!
Really appreciate you both for taking the time to write in our guest book for others to read about your experiences and advice for having a great time here in PG.

There is a hidden gem in the backroads of Punta Gorda where my love and I found paradise, a Belizean Shangri-la. Due to the rainy season the vegetation and foliage was lush and full of vibrant colors. Even the usual greens were ones I've never experienced. The quaint but spacious dwellings were clean and cool against the amid humid temperatures of the Jungle. The property was cared for by a Mayan OG who went above and beyond to make sure the landscape was well manicured, our stomach was full of fresh corn masa for tortillas, our hot water was abundant, and the cabbage dish he made us was deliciously stellar. The owner's son (another adopted Belizean Mayan OG), was just as welcoming and kind, always making sure the pool was pristine to any welcoming guests. Including the sweet little frogs and crabs requesting a midnight swim. Not to mention his excellent cooking skills at the WI FI Restaurant, which may I say also delivers for all of you DoorDash and Uber Eats fans. As always saving the best for last like a true Queen, the owner Laura Beam...need I say more. Laura and I spent hours talking and we met over the aroma of my beans and rice. Thee kindest, considerate, and open-heart person. She makes this Vrbo what it is and demands not, when my plane arrived, she immediatel reached out to me to confirm my rental vehicle was received and offered a ride if needed. Honestly, there is not enough characters to compliment Laura and the Casitas except with love.
If you're visiting PG or need a home-base for exploring southern Belize, these casitas are *the best*! They are immaculate and thoughtfully decorated, plus there are ridiculous creature comforts such as extra pillows, matching linens, fully-furnished kitchens (with microwaves, gas stoves, full-sized refrigerators, coffee maker, kettle, and 5-gallon drinking water dispensers), on-demand hot water, and, the most amazing luxury in the jungle, air conditioning. There are also provided flashlights/candles in the event of a power outage; I never needed them, but it was comforting to know they were available during the intense thunderstorms. The wi-fi is secure and the best in PG-- I was able to do a lot of stateside work without issue. The spacious grounds are beautifully landscaped and your home will be decorated with an exotic fresh flower arrangement from just outside your door.
Your hosts (and their rescue dogs) will visit with you as little or as much as you'd like as there is a gate separating the hosts' property from the rental. I loved the chats and insights for the town, and the patient answers to all of my questions. And if you're homesick for your dogs as I was, you can request that the dogs be allowed to roam the (fenced) grounds for daily visits.
The pictures are true to form but they don't capture the spirit of the property which is tremendously inviting and cozy. I enjoyed PG and the surrounding villages, but definitely looked forward to coming "home" each day to relax either in the a/c, in the hammock, at the outdoor tables on the covered porches, or in the pool. It is apparent that the hosts will not only work hard but also take great pride to provide a memorable and stress-free stay. Laura was quick to respond to my many VRBO messages prior to my arrival, and would check-in with me each morning to be sure there was nothing I needed for "my" home.
I stayed alone at this property for two weeks and always felt safe, secure, and flat-out blissful. I will continue to recommend these casitas to my colleagues who need a short-term rental in PG, plus I intend to return as well for 2-week+ stints. So, if you're considering a stay at either rental at this property, don't delay in securing your reservation because we certainly will not!

Thank you Marie for the very kind review. It was an absolute pleasure to have you stay with us and overjoyed that you enjoyed your time here in the jungle of P.G. We look forward to having you stay with us again. Dammi misses having you here.
Property is ok. Many things needing attending to, but when brought to their attention they got dealt with promptly (e.g. ant infestation, working bicycles). Unfortunately when you want to use the bicycles at 7am and they don’t work, then it doesn’t work so well. Nice quiet location bicycling distance to town, but a dirt road, so after a rain is a bit difficult. Unfortunately, when our plans had to change for a family situation, this is the only place of four unwilling to work with us in any way. Communication was difficult as it was hard to figure out who you talked with about what, the on-site person, the person in the US, etc.
We stayed here December 2018. The property is beautiful with a lovely garden around a pool. The property is fenced in, including the parking area so the security is good. The home was clean and had lots of pots, pans, coffee, and other comforts for our use. The casita is walking distance to downtown PG. What really made our stay memorable was our wonderful hosts Thomas and Laura, they were great hosts who saw to our needs and made us feel very welcome. They were so great that we spent half a day just hanging out with them at the home rather than seeing the sights around PG. I highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely Beautiful!!!
We loved how helpful everyone was. They all went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. It was very relaxing and quiet. We enjoyed exploring the area and felt very safe....even after the had gone down. The bicycles they have on hand came in very handy since we didn’t have a vehicle. We can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic!!!
Laura and Thomas were great hosts, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We wanted to go kayaking and they knew just the guy to call. The house had all the amenities we could ask for and more. Clean and cozy, the property is located near the edge of town with easy access to a country road for morning runs.

A+ hospitality
In January 2017 my boyfriend and I were the first people to stay at this lovely casita and we returned for another week this January. Laura and Thomas are very attentive and we highly recommend them and their casita. We love the PG area and to get away from the normal rat-race of tourists such as in Placencia. Immerse yourselves into the local culture, talk to the locals, eat the fresh fruits and fish from the markets and explore!

Well maintained comfortable property.
We appreciated this sparkling Casita. It was comfortable, well stocked and really pretty. Well worth the cost. I enjoyed the pool, the landscaping and the company. When visiting Belize again we will likely stay even longer.

Peaceful with great hosts
This place was very peaceful and Laura and Thomas were awesome!! We could hear the howler monkeys from outside early in the morning which was very cool!! The pool was very nice after the hot days too! Laura and Thomas had great suggestions for food and what to do with the time we had left. Thank you both very much.

Punta Gorda Private Casita
Fantastic place to stay and get recharged. Very quiet and away from it all. Not too far from town or the sea, but far enough down a lovely dirt road. The Casita was nicely maintained; clean well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Pool was nice to have for early morning or late evening swims. Great attention was put to the all native garden that surrounds the property.

What makes this property unique
Comfy and secluded, yet very close to all amenities. Best of both worlds.
