We’ve been coming to Silver Lake for 19 years and we loved this location. It’s beautiful and calming. Direct and close access to the dunes and Lake Michigan. Our only issue was an excess of fruit flies in the cottage. We resolved them using various traps. Otherwise, great stay.

Absolutely fantastic property. Super clean, fragrance free, gorgeous views, and the beach was essentially private! Much of our time there had no one else on the beach. Good access to silver lake for some dune fun (jeep ride and sand boarding). The most relaxing vacation we’ve had in years. The kitchen was well stocked - even had a cheese grater which seems to be a common thing to overlook. The tone of lightbulb used was also wonderful - a nice warm glow. Reminded us of being at Grandmas - but only the good parts. Lots of toys and games for the kiddos and having an installed baby gate at the bottom of the indoor stairs was a nice touch. Also nice to have a good sprayer nozzle on the hose to spray off sandy legs and toys (which they also had stocked - a few beach chairs, a kite, pails, body board etc.). Thanks for a great property!

Fantastic spot n views. Beautiful to see upon waking n at sunset. Never seen such a more beautiful sunset. Beach was not crowded at all. Amenities were perfect. House was perfect. The only thing, was the amount of spiders that came out at night…so couldn’t sit peacefully outside once sun set because of the spiders covering the entrance to outside balconies. It was unnoticeable at first during daylight besides an occasional spider web, but once sun set, they came out and covered screen doors. Not a lot but enough to keep us indoors. The road through the forest into private property of community of houses was interesting. Would think twice if driving at night initially through there since no lighting.
