My place is close to restaurants, walking trails, historical landmarks, churches, shopping, night life, hair salons, a healthcare complex, spas, movie theatre, boutiques, candy shops, breweries, and adult and children recreation centers. . My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
The neighborhood is quiet. All of the neighbors are polite and friendly. There is a nice, scenic trail directly behind the house. The neighborhood has a nice pool and playground. Anything (gym, groceries, shopping, dining, touring, movies) that you could possibly want to do is ten minutes or less from the house.

If you need a place to stay near Wake Forest, look no further than the Green Lane Retreat. We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, comfy, spacious home. It worked out perfectly for us. Rosemary was an excellent, thoughtful host with great communication skills. 10 out of 10
Firstly, the house was very clean with a well stocked pantry and plenty of nice smelling sheets and towels.
That said, our recent stay at this VRBO listing was fraught with difficulties. Upon arrival, we were immediately inconvenienced by the lack of a front door code, requiring a phone call to gain entry. This was just the beginning of a series of disappointments.
The driveway was partially blocked by a non-functional car, which limited our parking options and accessibility. Inside, the family room, prominently featuring a fireplace, was surprisingly devoid of furniture. This, coupled with a strict rule against moving any furniture, left us without a comfortable space to gather and relax.
The house included an extensive list of prohibitions, detailed in what we dubbed the 'no-no book', which felt excessively restrictive and somewhat unwelcoming. Our discovery of water leaks in the property added to our discomfort, and the response we received upon reporting these issues was startlingly rude, further souring our experience.
Additionally, the advertised theater room was non-functional, denying us one of the key features we looked forward to enjoying. To compound our concerns, the second-floor deck was in a state of disrepair, with rotted planks and hazardous holes, posing a safety risk and limiting our use of the outdoor space.
Overall, our stay was marred by these numerous issues, detracting significantly from the potential enjoyment of the property.

Upon arrival, we were immediately inconvenienced by the lack of a front door code, requiring a phone call to gain entry.
This is an odd review considering that checkin instructions were given to the guests prior to checkin. This review sounds more like someone who is trying to gloss over $20,000 worth of property damage that was caused by using all of the dictionary words that they can think of. Was it FRAUGHT with difficulties? Please stop. It’s three much for me to handle. I’m still arguing with the insurance company about how the damage occurred. I know when I left the house, everything was intact.
This was just the beginning of a series of disappointments. The driveway was partially blocked by a non-functional car, which limited our parking options and accessibility.
It’s not clear what the guest means by non functioning. The car is functioning. If it was in the way of a 6 car driveway then the guests did not mention that they wanted it to be moved.
Inside, the family room, prominently featuring a fireplace, was surprisingly devoid of furniture. This, coupled with a strict rule against moving any furniture, left us without a comfortable space to gather and relax.
The house has 4 OTHER living rooms. Pretending like there was nowhere to sit is too much for me to handle.
The house included an extensive list of prohibitions, detailed in what we dubbed the 'no-no book', which felt excessively restrictive and somewhat unwelcoming.
The no no book is a funny word to give a book that has the same rules that are given before you reserve the home. The house is not a hotel. The owner of the house lives in the house and the state of disrepair that the house was left in is exactly why there is a rule book. It’s odd to leave reviews that are the opposite of what all of the other reviews express.
Our discovery of water leaks in the property added to our discomfort, and the response we received upon reporting these issues was startlingly rude, further souring our experience.
You and your family caused the leak in the bathroom which has resulted in $20,000 worth of damage to the property. So, it’s odd that you’re leaving a review about DISCOVERING a leak. You DISCOVERED it after you caused it. The leak that you DISCOVERED was attended to as soon as you made the owner aware. The water was turned off by Michael and Son plumbing and the water damage team, came immediately to gut the bathroom and start the heat drying process for the leak that you DISCOVERED and CREATED.
Additionally, the advertised theater room was non-functional, denying us one of the key features we looked forward to enjoying.
If you don’t know how to use a remote, just say that. Every television in the house works. It’s not a theater. It’s a TV on the bottom floor. You simply press the ON button on the remote and almost like magic, the TV turns on.
The way this review is written is odd considering that you damaged furniture and caused $20,000 worth of repair to a property without so much as an apology before you left.
To compound our concerns, the second-floor deck was in a state of disrepair, with rotted planks and hazardous holes, posing a safety risk and limiting our use of the outdoor space.
What exactly are you doing outdoors when the deck is not part of the listing?
Overall, our stay was marred by these numerous issues, detracting significantly from the potential enjoyment of the property.
It’s odd to ruin someone’s house then run to leave a review without acknowledging that you ruined the house. DISCOVERING a leak that you caused then sending a text saying “get a plumber over here,” is odd.
You’re exaggerating issues that you caused. The house is 6 floors and 4 bathrooms and multiple living areas and dining rooms. To imply that there wasn’t enough furniture is laughable.
We had a minor snafu with checking into the property because the owner lost her phone and wasn't aware of the booking. Outside of this we had a wonderful stay. The home is really comfortable and well decorated. Perfect for a family needing a safe and comfortable place to stay while in the Raleigh area.
Property well maintained with antic pieces. Loved the decoration. Good place for a family to relax

Wonderful place to stay
Ample space for 4 families. The house had more supplies than one could even think of. The owner was great to work with and we didn’t have a single issue while we were there. Highly recommended and we will be coming back!

Excellent Property
This property was perfect for our group of professionals traveling to the Raleigh area for business. Plenty of room to spread out or hang out! Would highly recommend for professionals wanting more than a hotel environment or families and friends looking for private and communal spaces. Owner was responsive to our questions and easy to contact with quick response time.
