C’est magnifique !This sums up the quality of the villa perfectly, both in terms of its layout and its fixtures and fittings, all of which are of gold-star standard.Added to this is the superb view from the balconies — simply stunning!This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful parts of the country, and without hesitation, we would highly recommend it for a refreshing and uplifting holiday.Our experience was made even more special by our wonderful hosts, who went out of their way to make our stay truly memorable.A beautiful villa, breathtaking views, and exceptional hosts — everything you could wish for in a perfect holiday.

A really beautiful place! I would recommend to my family and friends. The views are stunning and the apartment is well-appointed and very spacious. It had everything we could need. The pool is also beautiful with plenty of sun loungers.

Cozy, perfectly presented property with a great love for detail. Perfect location for excursions to both the sea and the surrounding villages. Uncomplicated booking. Highly reconmended

This is a wonderful property in a fantastic location. The views are wonderful and it is very peaceful. The villa is very well appointed and you can tell a lot of thought has been put into making it a special place to stay from the large bedroom to the well stocked kitchen. There are many places to sit on the balconies and in the garden to enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee. An added bonus was the beautiful community pool. We would definitely stay here again. Additionally it is close toSt Paul de Vence and the Cote d'Aur.

Disliked: Communication
Our recent stay at Domain du Piol , where Olivade, is located was disappointing. We’ve stayed in a number of places in this complex, and we sense that it’s not as well maintained as in the past. Olivade is not able to be secured adequately from entry as the locks on the beautiful French doors don’t work. There are no instructions on stove or washing machine operation. There were only 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels for our use and they were 10 years old and stiff. The shower was moldy and only allowed one shower at a time due to small hot water heater. The refrigerator was apartment size and made loud noise day and night. It does retain the charm, although very worn, of the surroundings. The sleigh bed is very comfortable but needs new linens. The view is outstanding but doesn’t have railings in most cases to the lower terraces. The parking is for a small car only….the Volvo was was too large. In short, the unit is not ready to rent and I don’t think VRBO did a good job giving the new owners guidance in being prepared for renting. Olivade is a Diamond in the rough and the price to rent it should be reflected. The owners need to be more responsive and helpful as the VRBO was nonexistent.

We are very disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your time in our amazing villa.  However, we believe that it is important for us as owners to address some of the issue that you say you encountered during your stay.  We had not been made aware that one of the locks on the “beautiful” French doors was not working properly, as this was not reported to us by the previous guest. However, it should be noted that these doors lead to a secure elevated terrace that can only be accessed from inside the villa, but we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Regarding the instructions for the stove and washing machine, detailed information on both appliances was provided in the Welcome Guide sent to you by VRBO just 3 days prior to your arrival.  We also took the added measure to email you this guide, where it is also notes that the appliance manuals are located in a draw next to the stove.  The monogram towels and matching bathrobes are less than 3 years old, but our apologies if they felt “stiff”.  The refrigerator/freezer is of standard size for Europe and actually somewhat large for a one-bedroom villa. Concerning the private covered parking space located steps from the villa, the dimensions are provided for guests in the Welcome Guide.  The space accommodates almost all vehicles, except for larger SUVs.  We offer alternative parking for larger vehicles, but unfortunately you did inquire with us about this issue.  Since purchasing the villa in January, we have made many improvements and the property is more than ready for rent, but as we explained to you we have plans for renovations in the winter.  The last point is that you contend that we were not responsive, which is very baffling as the vast number emails between us would suggest otherwise.
