About this property
Hilltop Home Sea Views & Terrace Dining near Aliki
Milos House (named after its neighbouring windmill) sits proudly on top of a hill just outside of the picturesque fishing village of Alyki on the south coast of Paros. It’s a real home from home, with views that will take your breath away and stay in your heart forever. The sunsets are some of the best you’ll see on the island. You can see many surrounding islands and 360º views of Paros and Antiparos.
Access to the house is through a tiny hamlet and the final ascent is pretty steep. Hiring a car is advisable to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings, although there are buses and you can walk to the nearest beach in 15 minutes. It is a 15 minute drive from the main port and 7 minutes from the airport. The local village has plenty of excellent traditional tavernas, well stocked super market, an ATM, ice cream parlour, bars and a great bakery.
The house is very spacious, flooded with natural sunlight and set in a beautiful west facing garden which has eating and sitting areas to take advantage of the views and sunsets. There are wonderful terraces both upstairs (some covered) and downstairs with access via the kitchen, and an additional sitting and morning coffee areas with views inland over Kamari village and the south coast.
Milos House sleeps 6 and comprises 3 bedrooms: one with king bed, one with a large double and a third with two single beds, one of which is on the ground floor. There are two bathrooms, both with baths and showers and again one on each floor. All rooms have ample cupboard storage facilities. All rooms have overhead fans, and with our hilltop location, the breezes usually keep the temperatures cool inside.
The downstairs living space is open plan, with a lovely open fire and the sunny kitchen invites you to cook and eat, either inside or out with two big tables which can sit between 6-8 people.
The house has an electric cooker, washing machine, dishwasher and drying area. There are plenty of towels, including those for the beach. There is a TV and BluRay player, Sonos system and very good wifi connectivity. With no neighbours nearby, it’s private and secluded and the perfect retreat space to reflect, read and just be.
The house is ideal for families or groups, or couples wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the towns, though still within easy reach of many stunning beaches and other attractions.
Having lived on the island for over 20 years we are well placed to advise you on what to do and see. The house will be cleaned prior to your stay and with agreement can be serviced during your stay.

Charming house with view near windmill
The house was charming with a nice view, near an old windmill. It is in a quiet area of Paros near beautiful beaches. Bed matresses need to be changed. Otherwise we had a very nice time there.

FANTASTIC RENTAL ON PAROS, MILOS HOUSE
We are 6 women from South Africa that rented Milos House on Paros. Upon our arrival late at night we were surprised with a good bottle of wine and typical Greek delicacies, set out by the caretaker and supplied by the owner. This magnificent, well-maintained holiday home surpassed all our expectations. Spacious and tastefully furnished and with two bathrooms with baths, a luxury not easily found in Europe!. The house is situated high up on a hill, with beautiful views from the upstairs veranda over the sea and surrounding islands. All the information regarding restaurants, supermarkets and sightseeing was spot on. We fell in love with Milos House and will definitely return to this home from home and will recommend it to friends and family.

Paradise with Views....... Quality and Tranquility
High overlooking the little airport of Paros, we found our beautiful holiday home; and a home from home it was – just perfect in everyway. With views over many of the Cycladic islands our evenings were spent gazing from the vast first floor terrace at the changing scenes below us. Similarly the night sky gave us a wonderful vista of the stars.
The bedrooms are cooled by ceiling fans and the beds are to die for! Better than home… The vast kitchen diner has all you need and best of all, a music system that simply needs your ipod, tablet or similar ( no ipod dock though – take a charger)
Being high it can be windy, but that adds to the coolness of the house and it does have three terrace areas so somewhere is always out of the wind.
The village of Alyki is close and the food at Apoplous must be tried (Seafood plate for 2)… If in Piso Livadi try the salads at Soiree
This house was very clean, with masses of fluffy towels and bedding when you need to change it.
Dealing with Pete the owner could not be more simple - a real gentleman.

Why they chose this property
I've been in love with Greece since my first visit to iOS and Paros in 1981. I loved Milos House as soon as I saw it and especially loved the view west across the water to Antiparos. The best vantage point! And great for inspiration...
What makes this property unique
Paros is great balance of traditional Greece with enough of a buzz to provide a range of things to do. It's not too expensive compared to the more touristy and brash neighbours, Mykonos and Santorini.
