Thanks for the positive review! I’m happy the cabin is situated fairly close to several great downhill ski areas (Okemo, Magic, Stratton & Bromley) and a little further to Killington. Glad you had a chance to enjoy the mountains. 🌲⛄️🌲🏂🌲⛷️🌲
We loved the Cabin. Gene is a fantastic owner and his place is cozy and comfortable and just what we needed after hitting the slopes. Thank you so much for giving us an awesome place to vacation!!!
Beautiful place that was somehow very convenient to town and everything we wanted to do, but then also secluded and surrounded by nature. Very cozy and Gene was so helpful and we made the most of our time thanks to his suggestions. Would love to go back again soon!
Loved being able to make a fire after a day of skiing.

I know what you mean. There’s nothing like enjoying the radiant heat of the wood stove burning, especially if sipping a cup of hot chocolate and relaxing from some vigorous outdoor activity in the Vermont countryside. You certainly can do that at the cabin with the free, cut wood provided. I do it every chance I can in the wintertime!

Thanks for the nice comments. I try my best to make my guest experiences as pleasurable as possible. Being, flexible, honest, communicative and accommodating is something I strive to do. I want your visit to be fun and relaxing. Enjoying the rustic charm of a real log cabin and keeping supply basics available, for things you may have forgotten. The cabin is not a motel, it’s my second home. Welcome to my home!.
Rustic log cabin situated in a scenic area. Host very accommodating and helpful. Great communication, everything made easy.

Quaint little cabin, basic needs for a peaceful family retreat
Our family of four enjoys the area and we’re glad we found this little gem. We love to ski together so we drive north for better skiing and mountains. This cabin is convenient to a lot of opportunities to ski and dine. We’d recommend this place to any small group wanting a cozy cabin to enjoy.

Thanks for your shining review of my little gem in ski country! Winter fun and summer joy makes it ideally situated for getaway relaxing with family or friends. Glad you enjoyed yourselves ... and please come back again!
Thanks,
Gene, the Jellybean (aka: owner).
My group and I loved the beautiful cabin in Chester VT. It was a perfect location to ski Okemo and it had all of the right amenities for us. The town of Chester was cute and we appreciated all of the information provided by Gene for not only the cabin but also the village. Would recommend!
What a great host and stay. Gene welcomed us with news of the local winter carnival and we had a blast with kids riding in a horse drawn sleigh and on mini snowmobiles. Kids loved the cozy cabin. I loved the vibe, cabin made me nostalgic for a stranger things episode ;)

Yeah, what’s better than an old fashioned, rustic, real log cabin with a wood stove, that’s sportsman themed with antlers, a ruffed grouse, a front porch with rocking chairs, board games, a guitar & accordion for your use, a couple of fish and a singing deer on the wall? Well, it’s my cabin, that will bring back fond memories of a past era, yet let you enjoy all the modern conveniences you are used to, like electricity, fresh well water, warm furnaces, a refrigerator, microwave, gas stove, 2 TV’s, 2 DVD players, 2 smart speakers, flush toilets, and a shower for two.
Glad you and the children loved the cabin, just as I do. Come back again!

What a great spot for a fall weekend getaway with friends. We enjoyed the fire pit and used the grill to cook our dinner. Quick ride into downtown Chester where you can get anything you need. Would definitely come back!

Glad you enjoyed yourselves! I agree, the cabin is a great spot to enjoy the outdoors and be comfy warm when you want to “chill” indoors. Rendezvousing with friends makes it even more enjoyable. Yes, please do come back again.
Thanks,

This cavin was absolutely perfect. Close to Okemo and other skiing, had great internet for work zoom calls, and was super cozy. We really enjoyed sipping our morning coffee and watching the birds. Thank you Gene, the jellybean for being a great host!
I spent the weekend at Eugene’s cabin and it was exactly as described in the listing. The cabin was very clean and was well stocked. The woodstove kept the house really warm and there was plenty of firewood. We will definitely be back again.

Well, I’m glad you enjoyed your visit. I strive to make it pleasant, cozy, & comfortable for visitors, just as I do for myself when I utilize the cabin personally.
I like a clean place with a well stocked supply of amenities. That’s why I try to provide the same for my guests. Thanks for your comments and desire to come back again. The cabin is great during every season of the year (even mud season, though some folks would disagree with me on that. - ha, ha!).
Quaint, clean, safe woodland cabin. Not completely isolated but certainly enough for us. Warm and cozy cabin in the woods. Great time to hear yourself think.
We had an amazing time at Gene’s cabin! It was charming and cozy. We were in Chester to ski at Magic Mountain and Okemo, and the drives were pretty quick. We had planned on going out to eat, but both nights we were too happy to make a fire and watch a movie to leave! We will definitely try to come back

Thanks for the nice review. I knew you’d enjoy the coziness of the cabin. It’s really charming and a cool little getaway hideaway, close to the ski mountains. Please do come back. It’s wonderful in the summer too.

We rented this cabin to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Gene was a very thorough host informing us of impending weather and keeping us informed at all times. He left us a nice note and a wonderful bottle of wine. The cabin is so well laid out and cozy we enjoyed the snow and exploring the beautiful town will definitely rent again Thanks Gene !!!
The cabin was exactly what we were expecting and just right for our ski weekend at Okemo. Gene was there to greet us and show us around the cabin. The cabin is definitely rustic, with a beautiful view from the front porch, warm inside and plenty of entertainment options for tired evenings. The kitchen was just enough for quick after-ski meals. Would choose this cabin again.

Thanks for the honest review. It’s nice to hear folks, like yourself, appreciate the amenities and character of the cabin. Glad you found it close enough to the ski areas to have a fun time and good exercise. An added bonus would be ApreSki time by the warmth of the woodstove , with a beverage of your choice.
Please visit again,. The cabin is great in the summer and fall too!
