About the host
Hosted by Max Banach
I’m a longtime Tucson local who genuinely enjoys creating spaces that reflect the beauty and culture of the Southwest. Hosting gives me a chance to share a bit of the city I love and welcome people into a home that’s been thoughtfully curated to feel warm, relaxed, and distinctly Tucson. When I’m not hosting, you’ll usually find me outdoors, hiking, biking, or exploring local trails with my wife and our two dogs, Asher (a Great Dane) and Junior (a Maltipoo).
Why they chose this property
We chose the historic Amory Park neighborhood because it offers the perfect blend of local charm and downtown convenience. You’re just minutes from the heart of Tucson, yet the neighborhood feels peaceful and tucked away. There’s amazing food, historic architecture, and incredible mountain views all around, plus we love how walkable it is. It’s the kind of place that feels like home even if it’s your first time visiting.
What makes this property unique
The home itself is a piece of Tucson history, full of character, original architectural details, and old-Southwest charm you don’t find in newer builds. We’ve embraced that heritage by designing the space to highlight its unique bones while adding touches of modern comfort. From hand-textured walls to vintage tilework, it’s an authentic, beautifully preserved desert retreat.
