About this property
New Large & Bright Arboretum/H-Street/Cap Hill 2BR
Summary:
This brand new two-bedroom, 1-bathroom lower level unit features lots of windows from 3 exposures, large bedrooms, full size washer and dryer, and a full size kitchen with all cooking equipment you need for a home away from home. It's one block to the entrance to the National Arboretum, one of DC's treasures, with acres of gardens, walking and running trails, the original Capitol columns in arrangement, and a bonsai garden. Just a few blocks further is an Aldi grocery store, and just a quick Uber or bus ride away is H-Street corridor, Ivy City and Capitol Hill. H Street corridor is known for its fantastic dining and bar options, plus entertainment venues and other fun places like a ski-chalet themed restaurant for raclette and hot chocolate, the Atlas Performing Arts Center, and the second iteration of the DC legend, Ben's Chili Bowl. You're only a few blocks to Gallaudet University, plus shopping at the old Hechts warehouse in Ivy City.
The Space:
Large and bright, the space is easy to enjoy! It features all new everything, with great style too- a chic bathroom with lovely lighting and beautiful tile choices, plus a huge kitchen with all full-size appliances and a window. Each bedroom is large and features a queen bed, with USB-chargers on each side of each bed and recessed lighting, lamps, large closets and nice artwork.
Guest Access:
You'll have easy access to the property 24/7 through our electronic lock, which generates a unique code for each guest that automatically expires upon their departure and won't work before arrival.
The Neighborhood:
You'll love being so close to the US National Arboretum that is an enormous park perfect for nature lovers, joggers and dogs too. It's not far to Rhode Island Avenue Metro (Red Line) or the Stadium/Armory/RFK Stadium Metro (Blue/Orange/Silver), and very easy access to Rte. 50, Baltimore/Washington Parkway and other parts of the area to the North and East. PARKING: parking is free and unregulated on our street. In other parts of DC, be careful as there may be zone restrictions and you may get a ticket if you park.
Also note there's a gym down the road in the Recreation Center. It's free and open to the public with sign in at the front desk. It has treadmills, ellipticals, and basic weights, plus an indoor basketball court and outdoor tennis courts. It just had an $11M renovation so it's quite nice!
