Beautiful cabin on a small lake in a somewhat remote area. Cabin is nicely furnished with wonderful amenities. Perfect place for a getaway. Somewhat difficult to find the first time there but well worth it. Totally recommend staying with this host.. My family had a great experience.
My family enjoyed this property with its amazing lake! The kayaks provided hours of entertainment! The area was remote, quiet and just the perfect distance from the surrounding places that we visited. The cabin provided an absolute sanctuary and perfect spot to relax!
Great cabin on lovely small lake. Cabin is well stocked and comfy. Deck area gives beautiful lake views. Host was very accommodating. The trail in from the main road was slightly challenging but the destination is more than worth it. I would definitely stay again. Can't beat relaxing around a campfire, stargazing and listening to the whipporwills!
We went to the UP for my Mom's memorial at Tahquamenon Falls and stayed at this little piece of heaven on earth. Trudy was a very responsive host from the time that we booked our stay until after we headed home. The cabin is absolute perfection if you are looking to get away and enjoy rest and relaxation. As someone who was born in the UP and grew up in Alaska, I appreciated the amenities that were offered in the cabin, as well as the serene location. The cabin is stocked with everything that you need and more, it is comfortable and feels like home. The lake is gorgeous with a pair of loons, busy beaver and large heron. We also saw multiple baby turtles in the water at the edge of the property. We heard the loons cooing and singing to one another and kayaked multiple times, to include stargazing in the middle of the night from the lake. Without light pollution, the milky way, meteors and stars were extremely vibrant. If we are ever back in this area of the UP, we would not hesitate to book. Thank you for such a memorable trip.
Our family had an awesome week at the cabin. There was plenty of room for 7 of us, 4 adults and 3 children. Our boys (9 and 11) lived on the lake, the fishing boat was a big hit with them, we caught plenty of pumpkinseed sunfish and a few rainbow trout. It's a great area, with plenty to do in the area to keep us all entertained. Some highlights were MI Dog sled dogs, the Whitefish Point Shipwreck Museum, and hunting for Yooperlite near Point Iroquois Lighthouse. The hosts were prompt with responses to messages and were very friendly.A few tips to keep in mind, this is the UP and the cabin has well water with a STRONG sulfur smell. I'd highly recommend bringing drinking water unless you are used to the smell. Also, the cabin is on a two-track. It was pretty well maintained but if it rains it could be tricky for some cars, a 4x4 is strongly recommended.Overall we loved this property and when we are back in the area we wouldn't hesitate to return to the cabin.
