Family vacation

Great family trip! Communication with owners was good and room was perfect for our family. Ocean Villa is an excellent choice if you want to relax. Convenient to everything and The Sunrise Cafe across the street cannot be beat!

Wonderful vacation spot!

The property was a beautifully decorated condo with an excellent balcony view of the ocean. The pool and beach access were very convenient. The owners of the condo were a joy to work with and were very accommodating. Will definitely rent from them in the future, I can't say enough nice things!

Our stay at the condo

The stay was nice. We did have a problem with the air-conditioner but we got it resolved. The condo could use a good overall cleaning. The beds were very comfortable. The elevators needed lots of repairs while we were there. There was only two elevators for 23 floors, thank goodness we were on the 6th floor since we had to use the stairs. The contact person was easy to work with.

Beautiful !!

Thank you Libby for allowing us to rent your beautiful condo. We had the best time. The condo was perfect for our family of four and one friend. Everyone was more than comfotable. The weather was awesome and we could not have asked for more perfect water conditions. It was the clearest we have seen it during our vacation in many years. In the evening we enjoyed dinner on the balcony with stunning sunsets, lots of great photo ops. We look forward to returning year after year.

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending a month during Feb. and March of 2007 in this wonderful condo. I can't say enough. It is absolutely beautiful. The decorating is impecable and it is located on one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever had the pleasure of visiting, and as an added bonus the most beautiful sunsets you would ever want to see from the oversized patio. Wonderful Time

If you are looking for it all this is the place for you. Libby was a joy to work with. This home was everthing the owner said it was and more. The cleanest place we have ever rented and thats saying a lot because my family loves to stay on the go. We had a wonderful time, beach was great our chairs were waiting on us. The older kids were able to walk to everything they needed and loved Pineapple Willies. The sunsets on the balcony were the perfect way to end the day. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I would recommend this home to any of my friends. And I almost forgot the older kids loved the boat ride that we booked right there at the condo The D's from Al

Our stay would have been a five star, but...worn out, dirty and stained furniture, hair/dust built up in some areas of the floor/baseboards, moldy/stained shower curtain., dirty oven...👎🏼👎🏼 Some of the condo was spot on, so it wasn’t entirely unkept, but being there for six nights and not feeling comfortable enough to unpack, or stretch out on the couch was a major bummer! We did love the location and the property itself. Will definitely go back, just not here.

Amazing!!!

The condo was wonderful. The condo had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The view was breathtaking and I enjoyed looking out every day and night at it. The beach was beautiful and clean. Having the chairs and umbrella was a bonus. There are plenty of activities to do right there on the beach (parasailing, banana boat, wave runner rental, etc.). Walmart is only a 1/2 mile away so it was convenient to pick up items needed or forgotten. The only reason it's not getting 5 stars is when we arrived on Saturday night, the activity of young people cruising the streets was concerning. However, the road is under construction to try and diminish this activity. Sunday through Thursday night there were no issues with the cruisers. I would definitely come back to stay at this condo.

A little piece of Heaven on earth

I searched and searched for just the right spot for our family of four--mom, dad, mid-twenties daughter and college senior son-- to vacation together again. We always went to the NC coast when the kids were little, then to Destin for years. I was having trouble finding something I liked, but when I saw Shaun's place, I knew it was the one! I can't imagine how anyone would ever be disappointed with it. It offers everything on our checklist. Above all, the view from the large balcony sold it. It was where we started every morning, had almost every meal (only dined off premises ONCE!), and ended every evening. It's furnished just like the photos. Inside, again, it's exactly as pictured. Tastefully and comfortably decorated and well-equipped, #606 had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The provision of the beach chairs was another plus. The weather was AWESOME, so we used them every day, usually spending mornings on the beach and afternoons at the pool. We were very fortunate to have such lovely weather the whole time we were visiting. Needless to say, it was very hard to say goodbye and return to Ohio. We appreciated Shaun's hospitality and the care she has taken in making her gulf-front condo a "little piece of Heaven on earth."

Wonderful condo

My husband, daughter and her friend stayed at this property for 7 great nights! It was so nice that the girls had their own bedroom and bathroom.. we never heard them !!! Tv's in each bedroom and the living room was great. The balcony is FANTASTIC ! What a view and so nice to hear the gulf, especially at night. Ate breakfast and had our coffee out there every day, and our cocktail hour too ! Very convenient to everything. we only put about 150 miles on the car we rented all week ! there are alot of good restaurants, would highly recommend Dees Hangout about a block and a half walk in a mini mall area on the east side of the street and the Longhorn Steakhouse near pier park. The beach chair rentals provided were a nice plus- thank you for that. All in all, I must say our stay was very "homey and cozy" and would highly recommend this unit. The soundproofing is pretty good, only drawback is whomever designed this building allowed the garbage chute noise to penetrate the bedrooms even tho it is outside across the walkway... pretty good trick! Oh and Walmart is within walking distance also if you dont have a car, to get your basic supplies and groceries! Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Ocean Villa is a great Condo....we will return!!!

Everything is exactly as stated in the description. The condo is beautifully decorated and clean. The kitchen provides everything you will need. However, you will need to provide your own paper products. There is only enough TP for the first day! :) Having a washer and dryer in the unit was so helpful! The bed in the master BR: well, if you like a FIRM mattress you will sleep like a baby! We do not and it was a bit of a downer. But don't let that discourage you from this rental. Ocean Villa is RIGHT ON THE BEACH! It is just a couple of minutes from the condo.....no joke! Elevator is just a dozen steps from the door, then a quick walk through the parking garage and voila....sand between your toes! Speaking of sand....what a lovely beach. The beach chair service was very nice as well. You need to get our their early to pick your spot. The beach attendant on our second day, allowed us to reserve the same chairs for the remainder of our stay. Easy Peasy! The pools: very clean, attractive surroundings. In short....we would recommend this condo to our friends and family!

Great stay, just a few concerns

Good and bad! First good: the condo is great, updated and clean. Everything you need. Balcony is outstanding. No complaint at all with unit. Bad: they are "still" painting bldg. Two years ago Libbey graciously refunded our money because of painting and resurfacing pools. When we arrived we had to park across street because bldg. garage is closed due to painting and working on one pool. Ok I can do that, but after driving for 11 hours we were SO ready to get in and sit on gorgeous balcony. Took us 45 minutes to find a luggage cart which is necessary due to parking across street. Finally a nice man promised he would bring one down to us as soon as he unloaded, which he did. In your defense we were probably coming in at a busy time. (Sat. Evening) Don't expect your beach chairs to be ready early, they are usually last of all the condos on beach to be set up. But I am an early riser... after venting, I would still recommend this unit to anyone😎. We had perfect weather and a great week. Thanks

Fall Break, Good week, but some Issues

We have rented condos at Ocean Villa in the past about 8 times. So we know the layout and what to expect and how to prepare for a week. When we walked in Condo it was as we expected from an Ocean Villa rental. So as we always do we make a visual inspection of the condo, I found that the dishwasher had been ran but dishes were not clean and the stench was awful. The bathrooms were clean in general with the exception of the shower curtain liners were moldy and the shower curtain in Master was dirty. In accordance to their "house rules" we removed the bedding and retrieved the spare blankets from the closet. The blankets smelled like they had not been washed. So since we arrived late on Saturday night, I spent my whole first day on sunday cleaning, washing blankets, shower curtains and someone else's dishes. In fact I don't believe that the dishwasher worked very well so I did dishes by hand all week. So I noticed there was only one dish cloth and one dishtowel. The owner requires a 7 night stay and only leaves one of each for a whole week? Other items of concern were no garbage bag left in the kitchen can, the overhead light in the 2nd bedroom did not work, the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work. The master bedroom door wouldn't latch and the AC return air vent was so dirty, no wonder the AC won't work below 70 degrees. I did bring all of these issues up to the owner on Sunday,(including pictures) but by the time he contacted me I had already spent my day cleaning. He had stated he just changed cleaning person so still learning. He also offered to send the cleaning person over on Monday to address the problems. A kind gesture, but I really couldn't wait. I am glad that I have rented condos in the past and knew what I needed to bring in advance, I didn't realize I would need a week's worth of supplies on the first day. I am aware that there had been a hurricane in the area the week before but really not an excuse for dirty inside. After I took care of all the issues on Sunday, we were set for an awesome week of great weather and family fun. Just a rough first day was all. I would recommend staying at Ocean Villa 606 if all these issues are addressed BEFORE your arrival.

We would highly recommend this unit. It’s decorated nicely, appliances are excellent, and everything needed in a kitchen. This condo is very clean and well taken care of.

Overall the unit served its purpose and the stay in general was nice. You catch a nice breeze on the patio with it being an end unit so that was super nice. The back bathroom’s water knob was filled with mold on the inside, the tub itself wasn’t very clean and had some sort of slimy film on it. My son and I both almost fell and hurt ourselves a couple different times, the sheets on the bed in the master were so sandy/rough we couldn’t sleep on them. We ended up taking them off the first night and sleeping on the mattress cover just because it was so late. The floors were really dirty and gritty from the moment we walked in. Yes I understand the condo is on the beach and there’s going to be sandy floors but they didn’t feel like they had been cleaned at all when we arrived. For overall cleanliness I would say it didn’t look like it had been cleaned at least not professionally before we used the unit. The patio furniture isn’t very comfortable, and we never could get the TV in the living room to connect to the internet so that we could watch Netflix or something similar.

Great condo and location.

This condo has a lot of great things going for it. The location is superb. Walking distance to several souvenir shops and Pineapple Willy’s is a huge plus. The three level parking garage is so convenient for storing vehicle. It also provides ease of access to feeder roads to get around Panama City Beach. Walmart is a four minute drive. The condo itself is very roomy with the 2 beds and 2 baths. Huge balcony with plenty of sitting. Pools are great for a cool off at the end of the day. Kitchen has plenty of cookware for meals in the condo. Now the negatives. Would like to see more than just a night’s supply of trash bags, toilet paper and dishwasher pods. Also no dish soap or hand soap. Would really like to know that we needed to bring these items before we got there. We had to go to Walmart anyway so it wasn’t much of a hassle. Would like to see more supplies. Not really this condo’s fault but pool and beach access is confusing. Getting to gym and to the pools takes some searching. Would like to see some more signs and instructions for these. Luckily there are two public beach access on either side so we didn’t lose any beach or pool time. The condo was clean when we arrived. There are cracked tiles in multiple rooms. These weren’t worrisome in any way and were from daily and extended use but still could be addressed. Overall, this condo met our expectations and served us beautifully all week. Would come back and stay.
