Nice cabin. Well maintained and everything worked as expected. Hot tub was quite nice. It had a nice selection of both indoor and outdoor games available. Well stocked with cooking and eating utensils. Some much appreciated items available in the pantry. If there was any complaints it would be the kitchen table is a picnic style and there was some food particles and "junk" in the small gaps in the boards that made up the top that we needed to clean up before using the table. Overall a very nice cabin and experience.
Very nice setup. The cabin was great, with a big hot tub, very private as no one was next door to us. It was the perfect location and close to everything we wanted to do.
We had a great time at the cabin. The trails at the Beaver Bend State Park followed by stay at the cabin was very memorable. We enjoyed hot tub bath there.
We had a wonderful stay at Bear Hug! The beds were comfy with an assortment of pillows. The kitchen was well stocked. The cabin is close to Beaver Bend with easy access to restaurants, shopping and activities. There are several other cabins close by that would make it perfect for a family reunion or friend get together
Made lots of great memories here! Host provided all information up front which took out the guesswork from planning. It's a cute little cabin in a beautiful location. Perfect for our little family of four plus our two dogs.
Very impressed with the amenities. Cabin was clean, and everything worked great. Especially liked having a little aluminum foil and a few seasonings available to cook with. It saved us a trip to the store for sure.Fantastic check in and out process as well! Very smooth and no issues at all!
House was clean, plenty of towels. Host was very responsive anytime I messaged them.Couldn’t get the tv to work in bedroom with loft. Hot tub was great. Lights didn’t work and a couple of the corner seats missing the head rest pads. I would like to have some kind of cleaner to use to keep it tidy and clean after using counters or kitchen table.

Good cabin, great location. Saw cockroach nymphs throughout our first day, host had to call exterminators our second. Then tried to tell me that the cockroaches were to be blamed on guests (from his text to me: “These types of cockroaches do not come from the environment, they hitchhike with people, in groceries, or in luggage... unfortunately some people who come through are not as thorough at home or where they come from.") Do with that what you will.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly glad you enjoyed the cabin and location, and we sincerely apologize for the unexpected pest issue during your stay.
I want to clarify that the message you received came from our pest control technician, not from us personally. Their explanation was intended to describe possible causes in general, not to place blame on any guest. I’m sorry for how it came across.
As soon as we were notified we scheduled treatment right away, and we’ve added additional preventative protocols to ensure the cabin remains pest-free. Our goal is always to provide a clean, comfortable stay, and we regret that this impacted your visit.
We appreciate the feedback and hope we’ll have an opportunity to welcome you back and provide the seamless experience you expected.

Our cabin is certainly not new and shiny like many of the new cabins in the area. But,we provide a clean fully stocked rustic cabin in a great location all at value prices that newer cabins don’t offer. We have everything other cabins have without a big price tag. Our furniture is all in working order or we would most certainly have replaced it.

What started 15 years ago with a fishing trip to Beavers Bend State Park has turned into the most enjoyable part of doing life with family and friends. My wife, Dawn and grown kids, Kailey and Austin have enjoyed countless adventures over the years in Southeastern Oklahoma as we escape Dallas/Fort Worth to spend time in our Happy Place.
We love to host couples and families at our properties and always strive to ensure a unique stay with lasting memories. Our favorite activities are hiking, fishing, boating and of course just relaxing in nature.
