Enjoy the lake, beach, colors, golf or slopes!By Bellaire,Charlevoix,Petoskey&TC

Thanks for staying with us and so happy you enjoyed yourself and the location! You were a pleasure to work with.

So glad you had a great time this year and excited for you to come back and enjoy the lake and home again next year! Thanks for taking such good care of our home while you made great memories.

We are so glad you had a great time! It was a pleasure working with you and definitely wished we could have had the washer fixed. That battle has been frustrating with part and service lead times given the current environment. Enjoy the rest of your summer... We hope to see you again down the road! -Mandy

Thank you so much for sharing both your positive and constructive feedback. We’re so glad your family enjoyed the beautiful location, the private beach, and spending time together — that’s exactly what we love most about this place, too. We’re a family who loves this cabin and enjoy sharing it with others, and we’re always working to make it better each season. Last year, we added a new mini-split system and plan to install units in the remaining upstairs bedrooms before next summer. We’re also replacing an upstairs toilet, updating the slider screens, and having a plumber do a full inspection to stay ahead of any hidden concerns. Some things, like plumbing or other emergencies, can’t always be predicted, but we’re proud of how quickly our maintenance team respond when something comes up. We weren’t aware of the AC issue during your stay, but we’ll have that checked right away. Your feedback truly helps us keep improving, and we’d love to have the chance to welcome you and your family back to experience the updates in the future.

For the past 8 years we have hosted hundreds of families many of which have returned year after year. Thus far we have received great feedback, some of which can be seen on this site for those who don't book direct or a different site and utilize VRBO. We have always been very responsive and if any issues arise at check in or during a stay we are prompt to provide resolution. In this situation, we did not hear about some of these items until the review (which is very unfortunate because they would have been addressed immediately). We did hear about something else that broke late one evening and it was addressed by the following morning. We did find multiple broken things upon check out that were never disclosed to us during the check in walk through, and we still didn't withhold any of the security deposit because we understand accidents happen. The other negatives that we were unaware of are currently being addressed. Unlike many rental properties, we strive to be available for our renters at all times, and we always encourage communication with us during their stay so we know our clients are happy (please see other reviews). We appreciate the 4 star review, but we are disappointed that all the issues experienced were not communicated with us immediately so we could remedy them as soon as possible.

Thank you for your review and feedback. We very much agree on the importance of putting money back in to the house which we do every year. We are very sorry you didn't notice it. Just last year we refinished and repainted the very large wrap around deck, purchased a large Blackstone grill and put in a coffee nook. Just in the past 4 years we have put brand new flooring through the entire house both upstairs and downstairs, purchased new washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher and oven with stovetop, did a complete remodel of the entire basement including the bathroom. We purchased all new blankets for all 15 beds this past year and also purchased another large flat screen TV that will be installed for the upcoming season. Please remember we are not a hotel but rather a 3500 sqft home that is not going to have all matching furniture. Most seasons we have to replace towels, bedding, and many pieces of kitchenware because so many large groups have stayed with us and things happen. They accidentally get thrown away, damaged or taken by accident. With that being said it is by design that we do not have the top of the line of any of those housewares or linens. However, what we have has always been sufficient for renters with no complaints. We have received many great reviews from past renters on VRBO and other sites and have several groups that have been with us for several years that do not go through this site to post positive reviews but rather their repeat business year after year tells the story. Our repeat customers have seen the many improvements we have made each year and have made so many great memories at the lake which is what we always aim for. This is a home designed to bring families together of all ages and have a fantastic time. Sincere apologies if our furniture etc. didn't meet your expectation but there should have been no surprises as every room is pictured on this site for what you can expect (other than the pool table/air hockey because it was broken during a rental). I am very glad you enjoyed the area though. It is beautiful with so much to do.
