Such a neat location in a gorgeous area! Look for the door to the right of Moxie's on the street-side. We enjoyed chatting with the artist whose studio is above the apartment. Rocky Neck was so quaint, and the apartment was clean and well-appointed.
We had a wonderful weeklong stay for our family of four in this perfect VRBO right on Rocky Neck. The accommodations were spacious, beautiful, and very clean. There is a nice big bar area, a great kitchen with a huge island, and a family room with TV as well as a nice dining area. The lovely private outdoor deck was an especially nice treat. We were able to walk to all the nearby art galleries and shops, enjoy drinks a few doors down at Salted Cod and 51 Rocky Neck, hear music on the Madfish Wharf, and music and art upstairs at Stephen La Pierre’s Art gallery. We were able to treat ourselves to the Ice Cream Gallery, which has the BEST ice cream and frozen yogurt. If we could pick any place to stay on Rocky Neck again, this would be it.
We had a wonderful stay at this unique property which was clean, well appointed, and stocked with just about everything we could need. It is right on the harbor with a spacious deck, directly overlooking the water. I spent almost every morning drinking my coffee outside, enjoying watching the boats go in and out, listening to the birds, and when the tide was low my kids would look for crabs. There was live music every week just steps away, which we enjoyed listening to when we had the windows open. The breeze off the water kept the apartment cool most days. The neighborhood, considered the Art Colony of Rocky Point, is lively with tourists and artists. A fine dining restaurant and a popular wine bar are nearby, which added to the atmosphere but also made parking an issue at peak times. Private beaches and a grassy park were a short walk away and we enjoyed looking for sea glass and playing outdoors. It’s a beautiful area. The host was responsive. We’d stay here again.
