This neighborhood is the affluent community in North-West Washington D.C., known for its interesting mix of well-maintained, large single family housing styles. Some of the houses border face Rock Creek Park, which has many easily accessible, marked trails that are maintained in a natural state. The Nearby Beach Drive, which is the main road in Rock Creek Park, is closed to vehicular traffic on weekends and Federal holidays so that individuals and families can enjoy bicycling, skating, or whatever on the roadway. The Capital Bikeshare stations and a subway station are within 2-miles radius.
