Unfortunately, our experience hosting Mr. Holt at Belton Lakehouse was extremely disappointing. He failed to inform us that he would be bringing a large boat and truck, which created significant issues with parking on the shared property. Despite our clear instructions and multiple messages asking him to park on the designated side to avoid blocking other guests, Mr. Holt ignored our guidance and chose to park wherever he pleased. When contacted, he responded with hostility, including yelling and using offensive language. He then demanded a refund for his second night, even though our policies (and Vrbo's) clearly state that refunds are not provided after check-in. Nonetheless, we issued a partial refund for the second night as a courtesy. This was an extremely uncomfortable and stressful experience, both for us and for our other guests. Mr. Holt demonstrated a lack of respect for house rules, communication, and basic courtesy. We welcome any guests with trucks ans boat with advance arrangements. We do not recommend him as a guest.
