Why they chose this property
This home is just a minute from downtown! You are only a minute away from restaraunts, shops, and galleries as well as other great activities like city parks, the local public pool, the theater, and more.
Just on the otherside of the road you have the Red Lodge Fairgrounds which hosts many great events such as the Home of Champions Rodeo, the Montana Rennaisance Faire, and other events such as dog shows and 4H Fairs. There is also the Rocky Fork Circle for a casual strolls with views of downtown Red Lodge and the Beartooths.
For the more adventurous, Red Lodge is the base camp for adventure with so many recreational activities only a short drive away such as fishing, hiking, biking, skiing and snowboarding, nordic skiing, snow shoeing, snow mobiling, and more!
Enjoy the regular wildlife of Red Lodge and the forest (from a distance). Moose, bears, deer, turkeys, and more wildlife frequent our surrounding areas and many times our town. Keep an eye out for the many furry neighbors and remember to give them space.
Red Lodge is also known for the Beartooth Highway, a scenic highway that connects Red Lodge to Yellowstone National Park via one of the most beautiful drives. With many switchbacks and steep views you will trek a 7,000 ft elevation gain and see the mountain tops and high cascade lakes of Montana and Wyoming. This is a seasonal road that is open generally by memorial day through September as weather permits.
