The Hidden Gem — Honest ReviewThe Hidden Gem has potential, and our host was very nice and accommodating. The location worked well for what we needed, but unfortunately, the property itself was disappointing.The camping trailer is very run down and needs significant updating. Some lights were broken or didn’t work, duct tape was holding part of the bedroom ceiling in place, the bedroom carpet looked dirty, and there was mold on the shower curtain. The electrical outlets were also concerning, as it felt like the wall might come out when unplugging something.The outside needs attention as well. The trailer needs pressure washing, there was broken glass along the driveway, and the weeds were overgrown. The hot tub cover and gas grill need replacing, and the fire pit needs rebuilding. A nice stack of firewood would also have been appreciated.The property definitely has potential with some investment and updating. Our host was very nice, and the location suited our needs. I just want future guests to have an accurate idea of what to expect: this is a very rustic, older camping trailer that needs considerable work.
