This was a rare chance to stay in an historic home in Tacoma with fun tile, old woodwork, and fascinating decor. The 3 very nice bedrooms allowed our little family get together to work out very comfortably. Hope we get to return.
Beautiful and interesting house with some quirks, host was very responsive and helpful even in the late evening. Very convenient and central location, would definitely stay again.
This place is by far the very BEST! It is very clean, has so much color, very comfortable, has BIG rooms, and is a hidden gem! It is very spacious, and each room has so much to offer! The property manager is very quick to respond and is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this place. It is also located in a quiet area! The backyard is an oasis full of treasures. It is very peaceful and relaxing! We will definitely come back when we are in town. Overall rating of 5
House was very roomy and bedrooms comfortable. Good location as close to shops and restaurants on 6th avenue. I had some difficulty with VRBO as the price quoted per night on the site did not match the actual price I was charged. Lighting in the house could be improved as it is very dark throughout the house except in the kitchen. Kitchen is roomy and easy to use, except the gas stove burners are difficult to light and only 2 of the 4 burners work. There was a problem with ants in the house, in every room, not overly bothersome to me, but could be a problem for some people. Very pet friendly and our dog enjoyed the stay.
Unique and fun property. The backyard is fenced but very wild and there are holes and gaps in the fence. If you are taking animals, they have to be supervised closely. Mine had to stay on leash. I would say the same about younger children. That said, It is still a great home and we enjoyed the quirkiness. We had everything we needed and there is a great washer & Dryer which is always a nice amenity. The hosts are great communicators and left a thoughtful note and snacks. I would definitely stay there again.
We recently stayed at this unique and colorful property, which offered great privacy and a welcoming atmosphere. However, we experienced a significant ant problem throughout our stay, with ants found in the bedrooms (including on the bed), kitchen (even inside the salt shaker), and the upstairs bathroom, where it was the worse. They got on our toothbrushes and personal items. The ants also ended up on our crawling baby, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. While the property manager was responsive and had pest control come the next day, the issue persisted, making our stay less enjoyable. If the ant problem were better addressed, we would consider staying again.

These small sugar ants were not present with the previous guests and they were not present when we went to clean the house after these guests left. New guests have been there all week and have not had any problems either. What I did see when I came to the house after they left was trash everywhere and furniture moved out of place and not put back. We even gave these guests a partial refund. While I’m sorry these guests had to deal with some ants temporarily, their review and their experience is not an accurate picture of what past guests have experienced or future guests will experience. We have an excellent housekeeping staff and an excellent track record of cleanliness and excellence.
Beautiful, unique, and spacious house in a fun neighborhood - super clean, hosts extremely helpful with communication and recommendations - everything easy. Very comfortable beds, beautiful garden for sitting out in the evening. Highly recommend, thanks William and Jody!
Bill & Jody were excellent hosts. The listing description and photos absolutely capture the vibe the home delivers. Its convenient to just about anything you want to do in the region and a comfortable, one-of-a-kind place to hang your hat when the day is through. Book with confidence! Thanks you both for a wonderful stay!
