Great stay for the price! Balcony ocean view is perfect. The location is great, nice quiet area. Pool area has plenty of tables with umbrellas and the water was great. Short drive to the local grocery and plenty of local restaurants. This is a great property for a small family!

This place was perfect for our family of 4! The location is great with only a short walk to the beach. The view was spectacular and the unit itself had everything we needed. A few extra amenities (games and the like) made our down time more enjoyable. It’s only about a 20 minute drive to the grocery store and a few shops. We tried a couple of local eateries and enjoyed them Overall, “What the Shell” was a great place to stay. I’d highly recommend this unit to others!

Rest and Relaxation

We enjoyed this couple trip so much. It was relaxing and had so much fun fishing right out front of the condo. The reservation was super easy as well as the check out. Will use again in the future.

The location of this place is perfect and you can be on the beach in minutes. The patio was my favorite, the view was amazing and shaded all but late morning. The condo and grounds were as described.The reason for the rating unfortunately was the cleanliness. Before I continue I’ll say that the property manager seemed every bit as frustrated with the cleaning company so hopefully this won’t be a problem in the future. I called upon arrival for some more minor things that I cleaned and the fact there was only one parking pass. The manager offered to send cleaners out again and I declined as it was all minor stuff and I was tired and wanted to relax.The real issue came when we opened the couch bed and the strong scent of urine hit me. There was no mattress protector just the mattress and a foam on top of it. The next morning they said they’d have someone out to fix it, nobody came despite us waiting in the condo. Someone came later without notification, we just happened to get back at that time, and they took the couch cushions and topper as it was actually wet and sprayed Odoban on everything which smells pretty bad itself. Anyways we checked in Monday and didn’t have a couch/couch-bed to use Tuesday night until we left Friday, although they gave us 200 back when they said that it would be back Wednesday. We basically made the loveseat work for us. It was frustrating though.I’d like to recommend Mrs A’s Beignets and grouper bites from Arrrr Pirate bar down the street.

Girls’ Weekend

We had a great stay at What the Shell…clean and comfortable with the most amazing view from the ocean front balcony! It’s a second floor condo, but right at the stairway and easy three flights of steps…not a problem for us at all and we had my 80 year old mom with us! Thank you for a wonderful getaway! If I had any “negative” feedback at all it would just be that I wish there had been an additional chair in the living room…perhaps a recliner or something similar. But other than that, I cannot think of one thing that was lacking in any way! Highly recommend!
