About this property

Beach Home sleeps up to 8, ocean and intercoastal views

This beach cottage is the perfect vacation home! Just a half block to beach access and boating (canal) access with view of both from the deck. The picture of beach access is taken from the house. One bedroom offers a full bed and the other offers 2 full/twin bunks. The living room features a futon sofa as well.

The home is beautifully decorated with all of the modern comforts of home including a fully stocked kitchen with new cooking accessories, & utensils, 47”flat screen TV, WIFI, 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom. There is parking for two cars and beach house storage offers a washer/dryer and beach gear such as chairs, umbrella, games, toys, beach cart, boogie boards and skim boards. The deck offers patio seating and 3 outdoor hot water showers to rinse off from the beach.

This is a wonderful family friendly home. Please no loud music or parties.

The ocean and beach are your playground, but there's lot of other fun things to do just minutes away. The location is just far enough from the crowds but close enough to walk to all of the attractions. Just a few short blocks you can take advantage of charter fishing, restaurants, an amusement filled boardwalk, surf lessons, jet ski rentals, kayak rental. On the island, you can enjoy historic Fort Fisher, the beauty of Kure Beach and the piers, and Carolina Beach State Park, miniature golf and shopping. We are a 15 minute drive into Wilmington where you can take advantage of the beautiful historic area downtown, UNCW, Airlie Gardens, and the historic battleship North Carolina.

Awesome stay!

Had a great time. The house is super close to the beach. If you forget something it’s just a quick skip back to the house. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. We spent a good deal of time out on the deck, but if you wanted to cook a meal and stay in there’s plenty of space. Would definitely stay here again!

Great beach getaway home

An excellent house in terms of location, amenities, quality, and ease of parking. Will book again! Would recommend providing bathing towels to guests as those items are bulky and many guests do not have the space in their bags to bring alongside beach towels.

Great spot

My wife and I stayed here with our two young daughters on Memorial Day weekend ('23). It's a great location...extremely fast to the beach (i.e. 2-3 minutes?). Very close to many good restaurants. It's also a great use of space...well done inside. We will definitely be going back. Also, the owner was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with.

Excellent stay with great location.

Beautiful location and house. Craig is a great host. Communication with him was easy and we loved all his recommendations. I will say, being in a house with 5 adults and one bathroom was rough but it worked out well since we were barely there. Will definitely come back again, maybe just me and my husband next time :)

Great weekend!

We had a great trip to CB! The house is perfect - cozy and has everything you need. The owner, Steve, is great. He reached out several times during our stay to make sure things were going well and gave us several great restaurant recommendations. The beach is literally just steps away. Overall great rental and location and owner!!!

Perfect house for a family of 4

We thoroughly enjoyed the house and location. The house was clean upon arrival. The beach access was easy to pull our wagon across. (No steps to cross). You’re close enough to the boardwalk that you can avoid driving if you don’t mind a short walk. Will definitely be back.

Craig the owner is reasonable guy. He understands all the situations. Our girls had a wonderful week in the house, they enjoyed every minute of the stay. The house is clean and neat. Great Location

This property was perfect for my daughter's 16th Birthday at the beach with 5 of her friends. I slept well in my room while the girls enjoyed the bunk beds! It was less than a 1-minute walk to the beach access. The additional private showers out back were super convenient and plenty of room for all of us inside. It couldn't have worked out better!

Family Vaca in NC

Everything was as advertised. Very close walk to the beach, basically a 1 minute walk. My son counted the steps and said it was 100 steps to the beach. Close to the boardwalk, but far enough away from the crowds and people. Craig was easy to connect with and available when needed. Plenty of room for family of 4, great showers out back. Lots of beach stuff to uses downstaris.

Wonderful experience, great location!

We had an absolutely wonderful long weekend at this location. We are two adults, my husband and myself, 41, and two girls, 4 and 7. Everything is incredibly kid proof - no sharp edges, baby gates available if needed. Great blinds that cover windows to provide dark sleeping environments for kids. No cords or electronic equipment are available down low to sticky fingers. Low bunk beds. Would definitely recommend for families with infants and older. The kitchen was really well stocked with seasonings, minor kitchen materials, and everyday cooking equipment. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised that they provided dish soap, trash bags, dishwasher detergent, extra toilet paper, etc that you don’t normally receive. That’s a huge plus. The location is fantastic. A block away from the beach so we walked each time. Restaurants all around. You could walk to a lot of different places. Everything you need is right there. Publix was a quick 8 minute drive if you need to stock up on essentials. Overall, we were very happy. Owner was extremely communicative. Sent us info to check in days ahead of time. Let us know that the cleaners had already finished and we could check in an hour early! Texted to make sure we were inside the house and everything was ok. He had great suggestions for local restaurants. Also made sure we had a good check out. Overall, a huge 5 star rating, especially for young families. My husband and I were very happy and plan to book this location again.

Great rental and location

We stayed Memorial Day weekend. Craig is an excellent host. Very generous and easy to contact. Rental was as stated in VRBO ad. Location was excellent. Very short walk to the beach and far enough away from the boardwalk to not be as crowded. We would stay here again!

Awesome stay!!

This was a great house and location!! Host was quick to answer any questions I had and messaged me not long after arriving to make sure check in was smooth and to see if there was anything we needed. I usually over pack with extras for the kitchen but there was really no need for that. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was great short walk to the beach access. Neighbor across the street was very nice. My spouse went on a fishing charter one day and enjoyed it. There are quit a few just across the street at the canal. Very pet friendly our dogs were very happy also. In short we are looking forward to when we can go back and will definitely book again at this location.
