About the host
Hosted by Elin Sjoelin
They say Norwegians are born with skis on their feet, and Axel and Andreas are no exception.
Growing up in Norway, the cabin was the heart of winter. Most weekends and holidays were spent there - no electricity, no running water, and no road access in the snowy months. The only way in? Skiing the last few miles. Heat came from a wood-burning stove, and water was made by melting snow. It was hard work, but the reward was always worth it.
Ski Queen Lodge is a modern take on the traditional Norwegian mountain cabin. Scandinavian heritage is woven into the design, from the color palette to the natural materials, but the struggles of the past have been swapped for modern comforts. That said, one thing remains unchanged: hyttestemning - loosely translated as "the feeling of being at the cabin." Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about where you are, but how it makes you feel.
