Hi Aubrey, thank you so much for sharing your experience. We are so glad your family loved the house and that the kids stayed entertained—that is exactly the experience we want for our guests! We truly appreciate your feedback regarding the temperature balance and the trundles. We actually have separate heating systems for each floor, but we realize the bunkroom can feel different than the rest of the house in the winter. To ensure every space is perfectly cozy, we have since added more portable heaters (now two for each floor) so guests can customize the warmth to their liking. Regarding the trundles, we intentionally upgraded them with high-quality, full-thickness mattresses to ensure our guests get a great night's sleep, rather than using the thin pads typically found in trundles. While they are a bit heavier to slide, we feel the added comfort is worth it! As a quick side note, we always welcome the opportunity to help during a stay—we weren't aware of the temperature difference while you were there, but we would have loved to make it right in the moment.
